Nope. Sorry. It's still the 31st here where I'm within 100 miles of Valve.

I'll pirate it when I can. Woo hoo! Go assholes like me :D.

No, seriously though, I have enough bills on my hand. I don't have money to shell out for games. Plus, I hate steam, it doesn't work on my crappy connection. I just get some "Steam.exe has stopepd working" error.

I bought L4D through it for 20$ when it first came out, never got to play it. I AM A PIRATE ARR

Hey, I get that you steal games, but seriously, don't try to justify it. I'm not going to be on your case for it, and even if people do get on your case for it you'll keep doing it, so why bother?

No, we don't.

(And what JR said just up there, we don't care whether or why you pirate)

Piracy is one of the excuses companies are using to jack prices up.  So, regardless if that would have any bearing on prices anyways, you're not making friends in the "people who play legally" department.  Keep it to yourself if you do it.

I'm really excited to play, but it bums me out that I have to wait until noon to actually start downloading the game.  An hour or so after that I start a solid block of school.  I guess I'll play tomorrow...

Yeah and I've got after-work-drinks today and we've got someone coming over for dinner, while yesterday was empty... :(

I'm personally not averse to piracy, because I play a LOT of games and I hate most of em. I only pay when I feel you (the developer) deserve it.

How is that supposed to help?

Piracy is one of the excuses companies make to add more DRM that prevents people from playing properly without pirating, but then burrows through paying customer's hard disks to sell to the highest bidder. Like your address or credit card info. (I'm looking at you EA, Destroyer of Worlds).

Seriously.  Even a 10 dollar an hour job would be enough to get you one game per day so you don't have to resort to pirating.  Anyways, does anyone want my free TF2 hat that i got with it?

Also: "Good morning El Presidente.. do you remember last night in our tutoring session, you promised me a news station.  Please build a news station and I can guarantee many more tutoring sessions in the future..."

Anyone know how to delete/cancel a mission after you've accepted it?  I got missions I don't want to fulfill anymore because it's not worth it to fulfill (Like build two tenements).

Can't you click the objective and cancel from there?

I only have the option of closing it on the right bottom corner.  Maybe I'm blind.

I really don't want to get into this debate, but I'd like to point out that:
A, a lot of people don't actually have 10 dollar an hour jobs. Especially in non-American countries (though it's important to keep the relative economic values in mind).
And B, the vast majority of that money is going to go into living expenses. You would really be surprised add up, I'm hesitant to fudge some numbers together, since it varies from country to country and even city to city. In some places a $10 job is actually a good wage, and your point stands.... Actually, Tropico is a really good way to demonstrate this issue, sometimes you live on a good island that can afford to pay you lots, and has good social services. Sometimes you live on a poor island with a struggling economy that can afford neither of those things.
Most of the time you live on an island that's relatively well off, but shafts you anyway. Because the world is full of dicks.

But yeah, considering how your money can be extremely hard earned, it's understandable why a lot of people are reluctant to spend it on a game that they'll probably find out sucks anyway. I'm not arguing for or against piracy here, I'm just saying the cost of a game is very relative.

Anyway, I think there was some comment I wanted to make, but I've forgotten it now. Sigh, controversy strikes again.
