Seriously. Even a 10 dollar an hour job would be enough to get you one game per day so you don't have to resort to pirating.

really don't want to get into this debate, but I'd like to point out that:
A, a lot of people don't actually have 10 dollar an hour jobs. Especially in non-American countries (though it's important to keep the relative economic values in mind).
And B, the vast majority of that money is going to go into living expenses. You would
really be surprised add up, I'm hesitant to fudge some numbers together, since it varies from country to country and even city to city. In some places a $10 job is actually a good wage, and your point stands.... Actually, Tropico is a really good way to demonstrate this issue, sometimes you live on a good island that can afford to pay you lots, and has good social services. Sometimes you live on a poor island with a struggling economy that can afford neither of those things.
Most of the time you live on an island that's relatively well off, but shafts you anyway. Because the world is full of dicks.
But yeah, considering how your money can be extremely hard earned, it's understandable why a lot of people are reluctant to spend it on a game that they'll probably find out sucks anyway. I'm not arguing for or against piracy here, I'm just saying the cost of a game is very relative.
Anyway, I think there was some comment I wanted to make, but I've forgotten it now.
