Journal of Fenix
I’ve been undercover here at the vault for a few years now and now the current overseer is one named HighZealot. Now, I once knew someone by that name who was once part of the brotherhood of steel but left for unknown reasons. Now this HighZealot not only looks the same but acts the same way. Could it be? I admit, we were good friends and kept in the contact until I went undercover. I think I may need to help him out seeing as he managed to get me injured… again.

Journal of HighZealot
13th Slate
Looks like the orders were downloaded. Let’s see what they’re about.
Later that day
Fenix managed to get to me office to warn me that I should not talk about my orders anywhere even in private stuff. Fenix..sounds familiar. Meanwhile, I discovered someone else quite important who was slain by carp. Nix the maceman.

16th Slate
Damn baron and his mandates of crossbows and menacing spikes. We have nothing to make the spikes out of!

28th Slate
Fenix tells me I have no choice but to open the vault for resources now. I feel like I can trust him. Let’s see. One season is three months and three months from now is about the 28th of Malachite.

1st Felsite
We will need to find lots and lots of wood. It seems there are quite a lot of saplings but not too many  full grown trees. We should be able to scrape by with the trees we can find hopefully.

3rd Felsite
I worry for Savs and Leroy Armstrong. They seem to be the only ones who can’t recover from the deaths we had.

8th Felsite
A nightkin by the stairwell! This is extremely worrying.

9th Felsite
The nightkins while enraged ran away. Yes, there were two down there.

12th Felsite
War dogs are being trained and I plan to put some in the caverns and some at the vault door.

13th Felsite
CARP ATTACK and an enlightened diplomat. Well there goes the craftsman. HOLY FRIENDS LIST! Damn Labordanced, another dreaded land carp.

14th Felsite
The carp is dead now. Curse the caverns. What I’ve been told was true. What’s this Savs has withdrawn from society? Now I’ve only heard of this. Let us hope she can build whatever she’s thinking of.

15th Felsite
Leatherworks was claimed. Doesn’t look like what she will make will be useful. Hopefully, it will be some sort of armor.

16th Felsite
Oh god the carp, they just won’t stop. This time a miner with a baby. They’re dead, oh god they’re dead….. I’m fine now. But other people…  We got three of us who are on the verge of madness and anger. I hate carp. Curse Miremuscle.

17th Felsite
We lost a nurse to the carp. One who I thought would have killed the carp. DAMN IT. People everywhere are mad. Vance seems to be ecstatic but it appears he is trying to act sad and mad.  We also lost another man to another carp. Damn it Winnowvalues. I refuse to give up. I must prepare work to hide those without friends so in the case of madness coming over each of us, we will still survive.

18th Felsite
Now a wild cat is dead and the carp is chasing a miner.  RUN JIMLAD! Also tantrums are starting now. Fuck, seiged.
(ooc: Well I intend to survive no matter what it takes. This includes backing up the save from this point. Also gonna have to check what named people are dead)

First things first.  You're all soulless husks of what might have once been decent human beings, drafted into a sort of moral apartheid from your better natures in the pursuit of things made out of cute animals.  I love it.

(ooc: I tried fighting and got beaten so badly. Which means the only course of action is to close the vault, kill and carp and hope for the best. Thank god for backup saves.)

Wow, didn't quite expect those carp to be that deadly  :o . Oh well, Fun is Fun. Hopefully we can survive another update.

Any chance we can have a few photos next update to see how the fort is going?

Journal of HighZealot

18th Felsite
I’m begun simulating the possible outcomes of the siege. The first SIM ended in failure cause everyone died. This is SIM 2. First order of business is to get everyone back inside and kill the carp.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Also, the current list of dead.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

19th Felsite (SIM)
Savs has starting build something using the same materials in the last SIM.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

20th Felsite (SIM)
The carp is being mean again and killed a cat. Also something pulled the vault lever which should be a skulking infected therefore closing it for us. Last time, it closed all the infected in on us. Also, the carp finally died and hopefully didn’t do too much damage.

21st Felsite (SIM)
Comprimoregno was so sadden she has gone insane looking for ways to die. She’s got a lover and tons of friends. Thankfully this is just a SIM. I checked the happiness of everyone and let me tell you, it’s not going so well. Oh, now a farming is suicidal too and SIM me is throwing a tantrum. Great, I’m punching someone now.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

24th Felsite (SIM)
Savs is done making her backpack. Thankfully, making those things makes people ecstatic. Let’s hope it lasts. Great, now the baron wants earrings. He is one of the few that are content.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

25th Felsite (SIM)
Now the cook is mad. Stark Raving Mad. Despite what is sounds like it is quite harmless other than the fact he’s doomed to the fate of death. Fenix is doing well even though he’s still injured. Might be because he doesn’t have too much friends. Well he only has one. One that’s dead.

28th Felsite (SIM)
Finally whoever is supposed to train animals is training the war dogs. We could have used them sooner you know! Fenix is also now happy.

1st Hematite (SIM)
Now I broke a door down too. Some people are recovering while most are not. My SIM guy part of the not recovering part.

2nd Hematite (SIM)
Well fuck, the SIM me has also gone stark raving mad. I’m surprised no one has gone berserk though. Well, I’ll be glad to sacrifice myself in the case we can survive.

(ooc: I expect lots of people to die at the end of this but I am hoping to endure. Though in the case we survive, I'll run another "SIM" attempt my orders if I couldn't in this "SIM")

I LOVE backpacks!  And I'm not surprised that Savs is unhappy, because her bloody husband, Bowie, died!

Remember, if there is a list of the dead along with the list of the living('s happiness) there is no need to ask. Also, thanks IT for making my life slightly easier.
