Mining through ore and soil will not hurt you. lol Who died?

Quote
Is there a way to make it so it is not poisonous?   Also, if I expand the vault up, and add a new vault door above ground, can that count as an expansion to the vault?
(Assuming that there is no way in, not even fortifications for firing arrows out)

You can expand the Vault to your hearts desire, I just suggested not expanding it to see if we could live inside of it for a few years. But you can go ahead and make it bigger.

It's a syndrome, so it should take a short time to kick in and wear off. It could happen during, it could happen after. It depends a lot on how resistant to disease the miner is. But eventually it will catch up to him.

Journal of HighZealot

I've picked up some encrypted messages (well only two) from god knows where. Thankfully,I know people who can decipher it.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Weird but I've traced it all the way to some far off vault. It'll take me over a year to get there and that's without getting the supplies needed!

(occ:Not exactly how I planned to explain how I became overseer barely after my guy arrived at the vault but this could work much better than what I planned.)

So here I am, logging into the Bay12 Forums.  I'm not sure whether to feel happy about this, or sullenly admit the loss of what little remained of my soul after all of this Fun.  So much Fun.  So, so much Fun.  <shudders>
First things first.  You're all soulless husks of what might have once been decent human beings, drafted into a sort of moral apartheid from your better natures in the pursuit of things made out of cute animals.  I love it.
