What an interesting little challenge! For some reason I'm reminded of the Minecraft 404 challenge.

I'd love to be Dorfed as "HBL" Solon "Boltopened", aspiring armorer, weaponsmith, and stone detailer on the side.

Ah good, been needing a more dedicated smith.. the mechanic (me) has been doing the smithing for now.  Now he can get back to his mechanics.


Also, as for not updating recently, I'll be doing an update within a few days.

any proffesion, holds the opinion that some kind of sealable gateway should be erected for the fortress so that we dont get killed by the first deadly dust beast to show up.

Interested in this challenge. I would like to be dwarfed, perferably given the dwarfiest of all professions, the BREWER! If that cannot be done then some sort of military dwarf will do.  :)

An idea to make use of the enemies presented by the fortress defense mod, if it would be allowed, would be to build a passage from the surface to the caverns, and then prevent dwarves from using it. It could add some additional challenge to this.

Not a bad idea.. perhaps have a separate, bridge-sealed entrance that they go through.  I like this.  Alot, actually.  But, I'm not going to do this until I get the fortress moved down into the second or third level caverns. 

Also guys, my apologies for no new real updates, been busy with a mod.. a rather fun one if I do say so myself.

Its a mod thats not released yet, unofficially called the "Beastial Dwarf Mod".  It adds a whole slew of beastial dwarf castes to the generic dwarves, similar to how the Genesis Mod adds things like Steel Dwarves, Jade Dwarves, etc.  Each of the castes are based off a different animal and each has different strengths, weaknesses, personalities, and abilities.

For example, a common type is a BadgerDwarf.. you can imagine how that goes.  Sharp claws, teeth, and a burning hatred for anyone that looks at them funny.  They make great unarmed combatants.. and good leatherworkers.

Just feel bad for the poor dwarf locked alone in a room with a badger, with copious amounts of booze.  Poor guy will never be the same.

1. Was it ever damaged in the same way my lover's hammer was?
2. I do not wish to go any deeper than layer two until we have a strong military.
3. I suggest upping the pop cap to at least 50 once the current cap is hit.

1. Not sure, you might not even be using a copper hammer.. I think it might be iron.  Not positive, i'll double check.
2. We currently have two legendary champions and a few recruits.. we'll be fiiiinnnee
3. Probably will, we'll see how it goes.


Also guys, I'm gonna not be able to work on this fort for a bit while I do my succession fort on another post, once thats done though I'll probably be doing another update on this one.

I'd like to be dorfed as a siege engineer/operator and animal trainer. I'd happily train/adopt whichever creatures you like...except cats. I hate cats.



  Also, perhaps engraving as a hobby. Speaking of which, is there any scene you'd like me to try my hand at engraving(drawing)?
