How long do caravans stay?

Hey there I am a total newbie, :D I searched in the wiki and here in the forum but I couldn't find the answer to this question.
Is there a certain time the merchants stay at my trading-depot? Or is it depending on the caravan and their mood? :o

About 2/3rds of a season. The will arrive late in a season, and leave the middle of the next season usually. You will get a warning when they are "about" to leave. This is my signal to change the selector from "broker only trades" to "anyone may trade", seeing as he is usually partying, drinking, eating or sleeping.
