I started looking in our stores for something to eat. but didnt see anything so i went to our bookkeeper, he hesitated and said.
"We dont have any food..."


"NO FOOD!?!? WHAT HAVE THESE IDIOTS BEEN DOING?"

Right after that episode, another dwarf came up and said,
"A vile force of darkness has arrived..."

I paused and shouted,
"Raise the drawbridge! ready the military!"
That dwarf just looked at me and said.
"We dont have a drawbridge... or a military..."
That sentence went through my mind over and over
"Were screwed."
i thought.
But a burst of creativity went through my mind. if this didnt work, were all dead.
i orded the masons to build a wall in the entrance.
The dwarves scramble to get the ice and start building the wall. i order all the dwarves inside

Right before they get to the entrance,
the wall is finished. were saved!

But how will we get wood and food?
the caverns! of course!
The dwarves report that our fishermen are dead.
I take a peak outside and see that it's true. didnt they hear me say to get inside?
They probally care more about the fish then their lives.

There just sitting there...
The black blobs of nothing.
over the dead fishermenas body...
they dont seem to be doing anyhting...
maybe theyll leave.

I get a message syaing something has pulled the obsidian plug lever.. whatever that means. order it un-pulled. hoping the fortress doesnt blow up.


Oh ya, someone got possesed, really hope he isnt an elf lover.

Definetly an elf lover. hes going in the lava. i order a lava pit built.

Oh great. a cyclops. will anyhting go right this year?


I order the lever that will kill the elf lover pulled.

Well... I can tell that bad things have happened here.

From the reports, it looks like a merchant caravan came in and killed the cyclops.

It's interesting to look at the corpses on the floor after the fire. People obviously tried to run away, but the ones who got out of the fire were bleeding, so as they tried to climb back up the stairs, they bled to death. Now the stairwell near the caves is covered in blood.

12 have died so far.

We have a total of 8 giant lions (2 adults).
We also have a tamed fire mephit named "Kol Kalurlikot". It's covered in the blood of two different dwarves - one of whom was burned in the fire. COINCIDENCE?! I THINK NOT!
And... a pet raptor?

Right. A wingless, feathered raptor. Cool!

Uhh there's no wood in our wood stockpile, and we appear to be iced in. The entrance to the underworld just has a few cage traps guarding it, so I'm gonna build a drawbridge. I'm also gonna figure out some way to get rid of all this miasma. Coffins seem too nice, so I'll see about making a "burial" pit somewhere. Maybe with spikes on the bottom too, just to make sure no one escapes should they try to. We also need to start training up a military. Right now the military consists of our broker and the commander.
