My friend runs a listen teamspeak server whenever he gets home from work/has the day off, so that's possible. There's also the unofficial official Bay12 teamspeak 3 server, it used to be in my signature, but it poofed at some point. I don't know if we still have one up.

When I used the steam voice chat I didn't have any problems personally, your mileage may vary.

Looks like mumble is easiest...we can just pick a random public server that is empty...there are tons of those

lol luckily there is a manual. On top of that it does have in game help stuff. The game itself is not super complex or hard. It is a game that is based on player communication and interactivity far more than it is based on complexity

Any preferences on positions?  I make a great captain of pilot.  I know that captain is always a fairly coveted position, but I'm pretty great at situational awareness and communication, multitasking and priority.  I haven't played Artemis yet, but I'm solid on Guns of Icarus, which shares some values.
