Have you guys tried playing multiple ships? How smoothly does that run?

The biggest problem we had was resisting the temptation to shoot the other players (the scenarios we played all had the players all be on the same side).

You pretty much need some sort of voice communications, we used Mumble. Worked well with the two ships we had, each crew was in a different channel with the comms people having a thing set up so they could talk to each other too.

I've got this game but never had the chance to play it! I'd be up for a B12 session sometime if there are enough people who can play at the same time (I'm GMT+1). Mostly free over the next two weeks...

For chat, I've found RaidCall to be the best. Doesn't seem to hog bandwidth, which is key for me, since my internet is horribly slow. My mom and I use it when we play Minecraft.

The $40 version on the website is the DRM-free version that you can use to power a whole computer lab or something (that said, the actual .exe that comes with the Steam version can be copied and used just like the DRM-free version, so it's a moot point).
