Also, congratulations Harry Baldman on being the first player to have to reroll a character. Or you can let 10ebbor10 play, if you want.

Yeah, I think I'll let someone else have a turn.

How do you all find the proceedings to far, by the way? On my side it's a little bit roll-heavy, but not having to do opposed checks makes it tolerable, and aside from selecting critical targets and the responsiveness values, it all basically uses the same die. Also, actual charts help. Actual charts help a lot.

It's pretty good, I suppose. Add context and you can have a solid game.

I might change the rules for responsiveness a bit. Instead of flat out making your maneuvers go wrong on responsiveness fail, instead I could apply the fails/successes to a piloting roll to determine if the maneuver (or your act of flying somewhere) succeeds. Think that could work better?

I think it could, yes.

If you don't have rules to accommodate for that thing. Here's an alt sheet.

Well then, I guess that means you're up, 10ebbor10! I can try to make something work with your zeppelin if you like, or you can choose something with a less massive amount of guns. And something that's less of an obvious target. You're seriously going to just aggro a dozen airplanes at once and get shredded.

If you do want to go with the zeppelin, I'll need a crew roster, and I guess you won't get any kill points at all, but you will get score points when your gunners shoot down enough targets.

Let's go with the Me-263.

The airship would be fun, I suppose, but it's not going to last long.

Hehe, bomber-killer loadout? Watch out, those MK108's don't carry much ammo. Though I suppose you won't need to worry about getting away from fights for resupply.

Any chance I could Jagdfausts installed on my plane.   Link

Bump for Tiruin and darkpaladin109. Well, Theo will probably just keep on floating where he wants to be, but Josephine needs to make a tactical decision or two.

Pardon my absence... :(

O that note, everything is finally setting into shape and I can continue my experiment!
I just hope everyone who joined it is...ok. :/

Operation Furball

A Yak-3? Goodness. Must maneuver away from that blasted thing.

Maneuver for a counter attack against the Yak-3!

Yes yes, I remember. Got the new planes statted out and ready to go, just need some time to get some better organization going here. A map stored in a MyPaint document isn't terribly easy to use. I think I might switch to something out of OpenOffice. Spreadsheets to the rescue!

Fun fact: WhitiusOpus's new plane has more value than all your other machines combined. Even though I went with the nonstealthy loadout with 4 extra Sidewinders, he really better make those count if he goes after earlier-era opponents.
(I wonder if he can be shot down by a Po-2, that has no radar or heat signature sufficient for a lock-on, and flies so slow he'll get penalties to aiming his cannon?)

The F-22 can probably knock those planes out of the air by flying past at supersonic speed. Though doing so at low altitude might not be such a good idea...

I may not even bother with such slower planes - my altitude and speed will negate any chance they have to shoot me down, really.

And like ebbor said; supersonic takedown.
