Okay, I'll admit, I'm curious.

I modded Goblins out to make room for FDM.

What exactly is goblinite?  I'm literally picturing a solid block from dropping one of them into lava.

Ah, okay.  Then I already get plenty of the stuff from FDM.

Here's the wiki page, for further reference. (Yes, there's actually a page for it.)

I already read the wiki page.  If it wasn't all D for Dwarf, it would have been helpful.

I find that header to generally mean "Useless/Encrypted information"

It's pretty easy to hover over links and discover the subtext by seeing what it actually links to.

Also note that goblin armor actually fits on dwarves, so you don't have to melt it down.

To clear up any remaining confusion (for any passersby and possibly, though unlikely, the OP):

"Goblinite" is a humorous term used as a catch-all for the metals left behind after slaughtering goblin invaders.  Since an experienced fort can, with the aid of ‼SCIENCE‼, reliably wipe out goblins and collect their gear for melting, the suffix "ite" was used to imply that goblins are more a source of combat metal (aka, another ore of iron/etc) than a true threat.
