So, I get the no pming rule for town, but why for mafia? I realize that there is usually a place for scumchat, but as many of my posts are from a mobile device, It keeps me from playing because I cant run a chat client on here. So, why is scum pming banned so often? It makes no sense to me and keeps me out of games.

Scum don't use chat clients. They use Quicktopic. If you can post here from a mobile device, you can post there too.

I'd think a mod would grant you an exception if you asked nicely, as long as you copied the mod in all PMs.  However, as Darvi said, we generally use Quicktopic, which works fine on mobile devices- it's essentially a barebones forum.

Nah, IRC'd be stupid. It'd only work if all the scum were online at the same time.

There is of course an exception, namely if you're doing IRC mafia. Then of course everybody is online and using IRC anyway.
