dwarf cancels prepare food: hunting for vermin
« on: June 11, 2007, 02:11:00 pm »

Really? This seems like something they should never do.

I accidentally let my food supply get low and all of my dwarves refuse to slaughter my animals or cook some alcohol so they can eat.

I lost 2 dwarves of 7 to this sillyness  :(

It's pretty much a death sentance. Once they start hunting vermin that's all they'll do until they either catch some vermin or starve. Yes, even if there is food ready to be eaten. Once they catch some vermin they'll reset and can eat normally again.

Does this apply to "Hunting for small animal" as well?

Edit: Never mind, it appears that they're the same things.
