How does this look?

I gonna probrably guess that someone's gonna post 'Oh this belongs in some other forum section'...SHUT THE BLAARGH UP.

So, on one of my MMO games, I created a faction and I'm just trying to get it set up and such, and I have the ability to make a 400x100 faction picture, so I decide to go make one, and this is what it came out as...



So, what do you guys think of it? Is it too messed up that our motto is 'The Family of Fun and Intention'? Should it be changed somehow?

TBH, I have no clue. I just took it from Google since if I were to draw it myself(Since I'm a terrible artist, both hand and mouse), it would look worse than this.

I believe you are correct. Based on stills, looks like it's from The Da Vinci Code. Man, bet he wishes he could have wizarded himself out of *that* POS.

The guy you chose for the picture fits pretty well I think.  He has the right expression and everything.

The words could use some work I think.  What is "Murderous Intent"?  If it's the game name, or guild name, or something, it probably needs to be on its own line above the motto.  And should be say... larger?  A different font or color?  At the moment, that little hyphen isn't separating them enough.  And yes, "Intention" should be a different word, two reasons why 1)You already used the word "Intent," so it seems redundant 2)There's a fun alliteration going on in "Family of Fun and" which "Intention" just breaks up.  Another F word could work, but that depends on what you want.

Wow. Quite a bit on how I can change it. Thanks!

1. The name 'Murderous Intent' is actually a faction name that I'm the leader of on an MMORPG text-based game called Torn City(Which has actually turned to shit over the past year and a half).

2. The image actually can't be larger than what it is now (400x100) since if I attempt to place a picture of anything bigger than that, the game will not allow it.

3. I have made attempts to change font/size/color, but in my perspective, it doesn't look very well unless it's the font/color style I chose. I will go back and see if I can change the fonts and such.

As for the 'Intention' part, I'm open to any suggestions on what I should change it to.

Yeah, the guild names needs it's own line.

How about the motto having it's own line underneath that (no line break)?

You should have the motto be, "FUN FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY!"

It's own line, or at least it's own colour. Preferably both. You need to point out that this is the the part that matter, draw attention to the name of the faction. You should trust me - I've taken three high school equivalent graphical design(ish) classes :P

Also, I agree with Euld about the "intention". I tried to come up with an alternative, but English isn't my first language so the vocabulary is a bit limited. Perhaps make a portmanteau of something beginning with an f?'
An alliteration is not necessary, of course. My main objection is the repetition of "intent".

I'm going to do a quick mock-up or something to give you an idea of what I mean with the first part, I think. I'll be posting it later.
