Did you _really_ beat the game or just the first mother battle? There's a lot of content to get through, let me tell you that.

There's the first final boss. Then another final boss. Then two other final bosses. And then another final boss. Have fun. Like Joshua said,
Congrats, now you just need to beat it like 50 more times to get everything.

It also gets a lot harder after... the 6th time you beat it? Not sure which it is.

Let's take some pills! Tears down, range down, luck down.

Well, that playthrough was screwed.

And that right there is why I absolutely love Cain, no negative effects from pills+luck for slots is amazing.

You haven't lived until Maggie eats a big tub o' lard and then a speed down pill. And then fight Lust.

And then, they will be weaponized. Like everything in this game, from kittens to babies, everything is a potential device of murder.
So if baseless speculation is all we have, we might as well treat it like fact.

Yeee I finally beat the very final boss! (with Isaac)
But... I'm so ashamed. I'll admit it.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
I'm so bad at this game; 176 hours, and still...
Well, now to finish with the other five characters.
And then I can have my life back...?

EDIT: It happened again (the loading screen visuals), a little differently.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
I think it's caused by not having the game as the active window, or something.

Here's something fun: Teleport and Curse of Darkness. You have no idea where you are!

I've realized that The Bible is mostly worthless, and have been leaving it when I find it, lately. Anyone else doing the same? Flight for one room (and special interaction on four bosses) just isn't that great of an item.

So far I've unlocked Maggie, Samson, and Cain. And I got to be ??? for a little while thanks to the ankh.

Being Maggie sucks because she's slow. It's probably worth the extra heart and the yum heart, though. Being Samson sucks because he's ridiculously fragile. The bloody lust makes it high skill, high reward, which is good I guess, but there are too many times where I walk into a room and think "Man, there's no way I'm avoiding taking at least a heart of damage here. And oh yeah, that's all my HP."

But man, being ??? just sucks. Soul hearts only is just a terrible place to be. I guess I shouldn't be complaining since it was an extra life and there's probably some cool bonus you get for playing as him from the start. I need to unlock all these things.

Maggie is good for early devil room trades.
Samson is a very fragile starting character, but can grow to be pretty good. Probably not a good character overall, but I like Bloody Lust too much to not play as him frequently.
I really like ???, but he's a terrible character if you're not good at avoiding damage. Devil trades are very easy with ???. The only starting bonus you get with him is The Poop, which is the worst item in the game.
Cain is the best character. Only downside is the eyepatch, and that only affects a few items.

An early Ankh with Cain (followed by an early death) led me to play most of the most recent game as ???. It was interesting. I've taken a liking to the guy.

??? is really good now that the photo is more common. Samson is still a terrible character though.

Samson is my favorite character. He took ???'s place. I guess I just like a challenge. I liked him better when he was overpowered, though.

??? is really good now that the photo is more common.
I've gotten the photo every time I've beaten Mom. I guess she doesn't have high expectations.

Beat the game for reals this time with Cain, unlocked Judas.

Polyphemus and Cupid's Arrow are both really good items. They're even better together. Huge piercing shots, usually hitting bosses multiple times. Add in some damage bonuses to make the tears bloody, and chocolate milk for charge shots, and I was pretty much a siege tank.

The book of revelations was also very instrumental in my win. A free soul heart every six rooms is really powerful, and the horsemen are fun boss fights so I'm fine with fighting them more often.
