Finding the photo is more reliable?

That's what stopped me, especially from doing all the characters. I'd go whole runs without seeing the damn thing, and it's shitty for almost everyone anyway.

That's precisely what I mean, if you do "well enough", you'll just get it after you beat Mom. I'm not sure what "well enough" means, but I've now got it 4 times in a row, so it's much much much more reliable.

Isaac in the Cathedral

was the last boss. What am I doing wrong?

I stopped playing after I got the glitch that doesn't let me unlock challenge 10. All achievements but the Platinum God unlocked.

There's a new ultimate finally final last boss. And it ain't the one spoilered there, nor is it the bonus final one that replaces the one you spoilered there.

Or the one before that that glitched out and also replaced the final one. So... that final one wasn't final.

If so, then I'm missing it too. Darkmere seems to imply there's even one more end boss that I know of. So, it's time to keep going to get there.

That run was so goddamn broken: Wafer, relic, flying, mulligan, both knives, book of revelations and way too many damage upgrades and just way too many good items in general. Both end bosses went down in matter of seconds.

Ah, sorry. All I meant was there's the chest level after the cathedral, so Isaac isn't the final boss. Haven't been there, myself.

Not exactly sure what all the items are for. Ace of spades for example? Can I do something with cards like that or are they just there for achivements or something like that?

The cards each have their own effect you get by pressing Q.

The ace of spades is different, though. It's a trinket that has a passive effect. You can only have one trinket at a time. I dislike how there's no in-game way to figure out what some items do.

If I'm right, Clubs doubles your current Bombs if you have any, if not it gives you two.

Hearts does the same for hearts and diamonds for coins.

There is, sort of. You just have to use it / keep it and find out.

And spades for keys. Diamond is pretty rare, I think.

There is, sort of. You just have to use it / keep it and find out.

This is true for most items, but some of them (see: Ace of Spades) have passive effects that you might never notice.

It's rather obvious when a card pops out of every X rock you destroy. But yeah, the passive effects are hard to notice. That's why I use the wiki after I've done a few play-throughs.

On that note, I've been unable to even get to the womb after the 1.4 update. Either I've gotten bad or the game has gotten significantly harder.
