Best Idea Ever: Grab Cat at 5 Hearts. :|

Somehow, I beat Mom's Heart.

'Grats on beating the Heart, but yeah, I think the cat is only worthwhile for Judas (who starts at 1 heart anyway.)

Speaking of which, I had a pretty great game with Judas, but was sunk by Greed. I won a dollar just before Mom's first stage, and, since I was low on health, I was eagar to see what the store could give me... cue greed, who I beat, but when you're already at 99 coins, doesn't help much. I then went to all the other rooms I could find to try to get more health/soul hearts... except that I ended up losing more hearts then I gained. :p
I ended up getting Mom to pretty much one more shot to kill... and died.

I'll win with Judas yet, but apparently this wasn't destined to be that time.

Huh. It seems you no longer need to beat the heart without taking damage to get to the final level. When did that start?

Edit 2: I found a mister mega and the next boss was a fistula that had bomb flies in it.

Edit 3: I found a Anarchist cookbook( Which replaced my bob's head) What the hell game.

Edit 4: Well. I beat the devil with this crazy bomb guy. In the end I had slowing (spiders bite) poison (the common cold) ghost (ojibwa board) Mr. Mega bombs. I had the meat boy head and tiny gish following me along with +1 mushroom (used in the last fight), at one point I had around nine or ten faith, but that was used up almost all the way before the hard parts so it really did not effect the run. Once I beat the boss I had only three hearts left over.

I too just beat the devil for the first time, with isaac. Got brimstone and the common cold from the devil, and still had five hearts left over, also had gish, a full heal pill, and a 1up. 1up let me scout out all of the "phases" of the devil and the full heal pill let me actually beat him!

Now to do it with the rest of the charecters. And ? ? ?.

Btw, if you have unicorn (or the chariot tarot card) safe it for after the bossfight, so you can shop for free at the devils room or use the heart doner maschine for free.

It took me a whole minute to realize that you were two people and not a case of Quote =/= Modify.

EDIT: Oh god I just got Dr. Fetus on the first level on the run immediately after unlocking it. THIS IS THE BEST THING EVER.

I don't know what this run is. Like... the luckiest run ever? No idea. I've gotten 3 Blood Bags, all of which cost me 4 donations. TOTAL. Yeah. I picked up a ridiculous number of soul hearts and regular hearts (I don't know if they count past 12, because I haven't gotten hit yet), plus I have 7 lives (I was Judas, so the cat was a good idea). The only down side is having no bombs or keys ever.

I can't decide if I want the Brimstone, because I currently have Sad Onion, Cupid's Bow and Ouija Board, so everything I could do with Brimstone is pretty much what I have now, except slightly less powerful and doesn't follow me. Not necessarily a bad thing. I'll do this run without it. 2 Hearts is expensive.

Note: They DO count past 12. Because I just got 5 hearts ups from one slot machine. I've gotten like 20 soul hearts extra, because every time I get hit, no damage occurs that I can see. Also, I won a dollar from a slot machine, so, that was nice.

Arg, I was just (indirectly) killed by a telepill.

I was on womb 2, and decided to use a telepill... and wouldn't you know it, I hit my first 'I am error' room... which is great... except now I've sidestepped the Heart, and while I've got an ok build, it's certainly not great (max'd out tear rate does not compensate for only having a single bar of attack power... even with Brother Bobby and a level 2 chunk of meat) so now I'm in Sheol, trying to bomb my way to the boss room, but I don't have the compass, so I must've hit a good dozen rooms without seeing it. Eventaully my 10 or so hearts run out, and so I'm dead, without getting credit for an Eve win.

All because of a teleport pill.

I pretty much get a bloodbag from every machine ever. I mean, it heals you quite a bit anyway, so there is not a loss even if you use all your hearts to get it

Every time I find a blood donation machine, I clear out the entire floor (including the boss, except the Mom level) and then pour health into it until either I get a blood bag or I run out of health drops on the floor.

I do this with arcades. Just play a slot machine or shell game, and then leave a pile of hearts on the ground.

Well yeah, they're part of the level and there's always a blood machine there, so I farm it for hearts too.

Yeah. That is pretty much what I mean. Farming the arcades and doing the whole floor then getting the blood bag. The only time I don't do that is in the last three levels, because I figure I can not make a health profit by clearing out the rooms so it is too risky and I just run for the boss.

(Edit: Unless I HAVE made a health profit. Then I will at least give it a try.)
