Well, I just beat Isaac with Eve while using Ipecac AND the Guillotine. Imagine all the fun of an attack which can potentially blow up in your face. Now imagine it blowing up because your orbiting head doing the shooting decided to pass into a wall or solid object. I feel like I deserve an achievement for that.

I think Child's Heart is my favorite trinket of all. It makes this game  much easier when you've got so many hearts dropping. Or soul hearts with the right items, so many you can convert them all using the Soul Converter to a full life bar and still have left overs. Child's Heart + Humble Bundle has gotten me through a lot of the difficult, low heart characters.

Also I don't want to brag but...

Don't ask me how I did it, as I haven't even managed to unlock Cave Boy yet, I suck that bad at avoiding damage. I did this on Sampson with just a Cube of Meat for missile shield, and no damage negation or anything like that. *flex* Maybe it was the Polyphemus' Eye + Cricket's Body filling half the screen with tearsplosion...

EDIT: Sissy longlegs is literally the cutest thing. Is there a mommy longlegs and a brother longlegs to go with?

So the super secret actual final very final last boss, the one you need to kill two THINGS to get two pieces of a THING and then take it to the big golden THING in either of the 3rd final levels.

He's so cool, but does beating him give any unlocks or anything? Beating him didn't list any unlocks, and there's no completion check for him on the character select screen.

There's an ending for one of them, that doesn't correspond to any of the endings you see on that page. Don't recall getting an unlock from killing MS.

It was pretty weak in Wrath of the Lamb too. Low fire rate, low damage.

I think you may be using Ludovico wrong. Mom's heart/It Lives is when Ludo is at its best. Literally put the tear on the center and then focus on dodging, once you get past the initial barrage of stuff.

It's as frostshotgg said. Dodging and/or damage avoidance is kinda separate from leaving Ludovico on her. I find rooms full of enemies much harder to manage with an unfun Ludovico setup. Most bosses bosses that aren't rushers are pretty easy with it though.

Ludovico + Tech 2 is also divine, btw. Might still rely on damage buffs to be great, but hits very very fast and is huge.
