To be fair I expected the discount to be slightly larger than this, but I'm not gonna complain when the base game is already cheap to begin with compared to the amount of potential replayability.

I think he's upset that the discout is pre-order only, so if you wait to see if the game is received well on release you have to pay extra.

That's my point. It's a buffed-up-price re-release and the long-promised "loyalty bonus" is an act of faith. Couple with the "ad", I get a strong "why bother, I already have a customer base who's buying this shit anyway" vibe that gives me an odd gut feeling.

I'm not saying it's gonna suck and everything's fallen to flaming shit... I'm just weirded out by how they're going about this release.

I will say I think the entire game's look has taken a hit due to them wanting to release it on handheld devices. I haven't seen the full game yet on my screen, but everything else I've seen it looks rougher, even if it's more detailed and plays smoother.

i think that discount only for preorder is almost as bad an idea as a promo video with naked freaks dancing the rainbow dash.

Giving a deep loyalty bonus made sense when it seemed like this would be a quick re-release to fix the issues with Flash. Now it's been years, and a) the game will have a tonne more content than the original and b) most owners of the original probably got it at a large discount anyway.
