The Flu pretty awesome too. Can deal damage to guys who are in a state of invulnerability (like the Knights against frontal attacks.) Makes them so much less of a pain in the ass, a nice addition to any setup.

Walking up to chub (the long boss worm that produces chargers) with moms pad active scares him so hard he actually splits his segments up in a attempt to escape from you.

Wheeeew,

Just beat Sheol for the first time. And it came pretty close. Even though I had huuuge damage (Mega Shroom, Pentagram, Little Rock, 666 Deal and something else too) and Book of Revelations + Battery for most of the game, so I had more than two rows of Faith (we got accustomed to calling grey hearts that with my flatmate).

Also interesting thing, if you use Hanged Man while in demon form, you just start flying and don't lose your head.

Wohoo, got the Razor and Demon Baby with that playthrough. Now to find 'em! With Judas no less, as I really want to know what a Monster Manual does.

Also, super spoilery YASD that's scripted into the game (which I managed to do with a Brimstone death machine of Doom):

Yeah. Brimestone is super OP, which in most other games I would says is a bad thing, but with the rogue like nature of this game I feel that it both gives you the ability to play around a bit more and is not a game ruiner because you won't be able to get it most of the time.

Holy shit. I just got to the last boss. I lost but the fight was soooo close. One more hit would have had him, assuming he only had three life bars that is.

Oh wow, I got The Nail and The Cross in Basement 2 as ???. Then Brimstone and The Pact in Caves 2. Needless to say, I don't have to play with ??? ever again. I even managed to get Dark Boy in the process. So I managed to get 2 of the 3 hardest achievements in one playthrough, woo!

EDIT: Ahahaha, ? ? ? is apparently an emoticon, I'll leave it that way.

So I bought this game a couple days ago. The very next run after I unlocked the Womb, I fought the Headless Horseman on the first level and basically cheesed my way to unlocking Cain using the pony. I love the pony. It is made of concentrated awesome. What are all of your favorite powerups?

Pony is awesome, like you said, I always enjoy pretty much anything that increases fire rate because hooray clogging up the framerate with hundreds of spheres. Little Steven is nice too.

EDIT: Oh, the whore of babylon is a personal favorite, even if it's not an amazing powerup, because who doesn't like hulking out?

Getting Number One from the first treasure room, and the pentagram from the first boss is pretty nice. So much dakka.

Whore of Babylon's pretty neat too, especially if you have a lot of soul hearts.

Wow, I just had a great run. Here's what I looked like by the last level:

I got the pony on either basement 1 or 2 (although the headless horseman isn't a pushover, let me tell you) and I've got to say, flying is absolutely amazing. I then proceeded to win two dollars over the length of my game, and this enormous amount of cash let me pretty much drain every begger, slot machine and shell game for everything they had. My health was at somewhere between 12-14 hearts, without soul hearts.

I defeated the Heart without taking damage, and I could've continued on, but since this is my first win with Cain, and from what I've heard, you either get what's in the giant chest _or_ fight the last boss, I decided to take the win, even though with a 1up there, I could pretty much ceratinly win against the last boss.

I think you get what's in the chest, but it may not count the win. I'm not sure, I've never tried.

Still awesome nonetheless!

EDIT: I'd also like to take this moment to say the real real final boss music is awesome and it's a pity you only hear about the first half a minute or so of it under normal circumstances.

a) I think the Headless Horseman is my favorite of all the bosses I've fought.
b) It is, isn't it? I mostly ignored the pony's activated ability and kept it because flying was so damn awesome.

EDIT: Oh hey there, Headless Horseman. Meet the Explosive Diarrhea pill. I have a pony now.

Flying is particularly amazing if you have a fully upgraded meat boy/are eve. You can pretty much skip any room with a big cluster of rocks in it somewhere.
