Also, how does it deal with conservation of energy? I ended up with a connecting, energy sharing predator that ate it's own dead, and had a growing population.

There are issues in the energy system, but the recent version should show improvement in that area. I have not tested for it specifically though.

Just a question

How does sexual reproduction change the cell? Is it now a combination of the traits of both cells, as well as the random mutations from both cells?

Okay. I've got a working symbiosis, in aquarium mode. Predator, Vegetable, and Destructor. Destructor is one cell, that steals energy from the network of cells, while killing them.

"This application failed to start because MSVCP100.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem"

MSVCP is right there. below it.
I even tried again after renaming it so that it was in capitals, still nothing.
Help please?

Try to download the game again and if it fails, try this.

Ah. I'm on my gran's PC, so no .net yet. I was meaning to install that. Thanks.

The MCVP thing isn't working and the fix doesn't work either. What the hell is going on?

Alright, gimme a few mins and I'll upload a fixed download.
Two dlls are missing, MSCVP100 and MSCVR100
The game also needs, but has, MSVCR100d and MSVCP100d

EDIT: nevermind. After I added msvcr100 and mscvp100, it just gave another error:

"The procedure entry point _invalid_parameter_noinfo_noreturn could not be located in the dynamic link library MSVCR100.dll."

You never cease to amaze Spreggo. :)

I really had some fun with this. It hints at what Spore could have been had it been a Will Wright game instead of an EA production.
