I was getting one shot in Hell with over 10k hps.

You might die to the zombies on the way into new tristram at the start of inferno...

One shot by the SK, mind you.

And on an unrelated note,

A friend was telling me someone linked a Horadric Cube in the chat window, and when he clicked on it crashed their game. Confidence that Blizzard isn't lying through its teeth about security issues = shot.

is that a hacked item? or just a block of code that displays as if it was an item with redonkulous stats?

Basically the game sends out a string of numbers in brackets to represent an item that the client then displays an image and text for. So if you plug in the values in the correct format, you can make it display whatever you want. I'm wondering if other code can be attached to it.

do you have any example numbers? I wouldn't mind fiddling around with it.

I haven't seen the code format posted anywhere.

Ok, I'm going out to lunch with the missus and then picking up the boxed copy. Should get in a few hours of gaming before she knocks off work. Does anyone know of somewhere cheaper to get a boxed copy than EBGames in Australia? (the Gold Coast specifically). $89 is pretty steep, although I'll pay it if there's no where cheaper.

Tried a Harvey Normans, or Dick Smith's? I haven't seen set prices, but a few years ago (before I basically stuck to steam) I could often find a game there at around 5-10 less. That said, sometimes they were a bit more; luck of the draw I guess.

EB was sold out anyway. I'll check the one at work tomorrow.

Damn you Blizzard and EBG. Now I have to go and get drunk with friends instead of wasting my Friday night playing computer games. Damn you to hell!!!!!!

NEVER buy from EB Games. They always offer prices higher than other stores.

Not always. In some places they sell things for less. (around here they are the only videogame store except Future Shop and Bestbuy)

But it does show that you should always compare prices.
