What do you do if the random build gives you a skill you don't even have access to until level 20+? Leave that slot empty?

Indeed. It becomes pretty nasty if your primary unlocks at 13 or something. Basic attack is pretty weak on everyone. But yeah, should definitely be a challenge, and if you survive, you end up using things you never would have.

I managed to play a bit over 2.5 hours until I hit the first Error 37. I expected worse.

EDIT: This server status site is just blatantly wrong a lot of the time. It never showed down during the 8-hour maintenance, and now it shows it is up, even though for the last 10 minutes the server spewes out Error 37.

I guess Error 37 wasn't about network traffic volume after all. :|

Here is the monk build I've been using.  I haven't read online about what skills are the best to use, so this is purely my own invention.

I really like "Deadly Reach" ability with "Scattered Blows".  It seems to work so well!  I also used elective mode to get the Mystic Ally, as I didn't really feel I needed another direct offensive ability.  I'd love to see what other people are using for the monk class.

This is how I'm rolling while solo or with 1 other person.

Way of the Hundred Fists w/ Hands of Lightning
Wave of Light w/ Explosive Light
Dashing Strike w/ Sidekick
Blinding Flash w/ Self-Reflection
Sweeping Wind w/ Master of Wind

Mantra of Evasion or Retribution, usually.

Transcendence
Chant of Resonance
Guardian's Path

To be fair, barbarians and solo monks are generally laughable in most sections of Inferno. I've only heard of that one solo butcher barbarian.

Also, the monk quickening bug was supposedly fixed, along with diamond skin working with force shield.

You can actually do basic attacks?  Did they add them back in?

It's still there, although I haven't tried to assign it since beta. When a newly slotted skill is on cool down, you perform the basic melee attack instead. I think if you also do something funky when you're swapping skills in slots and unassign one, you can get the melee attack on your left/right mouse buttons.

correct. To get a basic attack as a mouse click you have to assign the skill currently on the mouse slot to another slot, that converts that slot to a basic attack.

Also, is it just me or are all environmental hazards now dealing damage to players? I could have sworn the cauldrons of oil and stuff in Act 3 never hurt players before, but now they do.

Damn stealth patching.

So, got a demon hunter to level 22 in about an hour... there's a way to quick level that will probably be nerfed soon XD

I remember an old thread I would have posted this in, but search failed me because 2 is only one character, and nobody typed Diablo two.

Sorry, slightly off topic, but playing Diablo 2 and wondering if anyone else still is for some multiplayer.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)
So they say that you could get from lvl 50-60 in about 9 hours, this should allow you to do it in half the time - because those quest cutscreens give a stupid amount of exp and gold.
