Boycott the game !
Do not forget that the clients are the stronger persons. If we get people to not buy the game at all you CAN change Blizzard's views.Because they hunger for your money.

Nah I'm alright, the game looks absolutely fantastic.

Customer satisfaction = Copies sold

If the money is rolling in, they will keep doing things like this more.

I'm fine with online only. It's a lot harder to hack and dupe, and after the dupes in Diablo 2, fine by me.

But it'll still exist, as the whole underground economy in every MMO in existence can attest. And in D3, they now have a direct method of earning money through the hacks, and Blizzard even profits in the meanwhile.

I know my opinion is 90% paranoia and that my actions won't have an effect on the industry, even cumulatively. People as a whole aren't willing to give up something they want just to stand on principles. Even so, I've pretty much written off supporting developers which are backed by major publishers. Independent and promising small/startup studios are the only ones I will financially support. It feels like the first thing any studio/publisher will do once they learn they have their hands on an extremely popular franchise is find a way to wring the absolute most profit out if it.

Oh man, my workplace pretty much exploded after hearing the release date. Definitely taking time off for this.

Excited by this, but I am a bit disappointed with how they trimmed down the rune system and enchanting. That, and they got rid of concentration from D2 :'( No more conc. barb.

I was sad about the rune change too, until I realized it's the same system as before, but easier to balance, and I won't have to grind out multiple sets of multiple grades of runes for every character I make. Then I was fine with the changes.

And then, they will be weaponized. Like everything in this game, from kittens to babies, everything is a potential device of murder.
So if baseless speculation is all we have, we might as well treat it like fact.

Just a reminder that we do have a thread for the "don't buy" debate. Not that I'm saying there should only be adoration and joy joy in here.

There's nothing wrong with thread necromancy if it's relevant.

Anyone else in the Beta yet?

That is what convinced me to pre-order. Everything feels just right and there has been a number of additions that make the game so much less of a hassle, like gold auto-pickup. And the animations and sounds, maaan. I can almost feel the Barbarian's Bashes reverberate up my arm. The result being a skeleton flying away as a pile bones just adds to the great feeling.

If you're not in the beta, you just need a Bnet account to sign-up. I'm not sure if I was lucky, but I got it in a bit over a week.

I signed up months ago and still no beta. I even re-registered my system after I upgraded. So, I pretty much gave up on it.

Huh, maybe it was because I have Diablo 2 and Lord of Destruction on my account and I managed to sign-up just before they deployed the first wave of EU betas?

I don't know if Blizzard would do things like that. Maybe my system was just precisely what they wanted to test or something. Guess I was indeed lucky.

How clicky is it?  Am I going to have to buy a cheap mouse for this game to prevent my good one from exploding under the cumulative weight of a million clicks?
