Done. Also I checked, the Airborne infantry can stand their ground better than the Special Forces. So they aren't inferior, just the Special forces are inferior at regular combats and the Airborne aren't.

I like this for now, I'll send one carrier group to the Gulf and one to the Mediterranean.

RUSSIA INVADES POLAND



Due to this event, NATO has been invoked and are now at war with Russia. We as Britain will have a large role in this war.

First of all We will deploy most of our land based fighters to Poland in order to fly air superiority missions.

Then We should fly over as many land troops as we can muster. Priority should be given to tanks, as the Russian attack will largely be tank heavy.


10 Downing Street considers launching a nuclear attack on Russia from a submarine. This would mean sending a submarine into the baltic, and nuking St Petersburg or Moscow. Or military targets?

Watching this with interest. I'm playing a game as Brazil, in Global Crisis I think, although I can't really remember. After having beaten Argentina after their unprovoked attack, and sued for peace as I I was besieging their capital, as my forces were loosing a lot of their momentum, had no hope of conquering it any time soon (was hoping they would declare war again after some time, to allow myself to rebuild, but since that time they decided to become model neighbors and have gone very quiet, even with me sending spy after spy at them to see if I could aggravate them enough into attacking me), and now, have just waited a few years to pass while building up. I've bought pretty much every single tech the other countries have researched, with the exception of nuclear weaponry, have gotten many different and awesome designs, gotten my military production to third in the world, just bellow Russia and the US, and right now, although I'm officially neutral in all present conflicts, I keep supplying the sides I want with units for whatever they can pay (have been selling lots and lots and lots of aircraft to South Korea for their war against Russia, and artillery to Poland and another East European country I forget the name, again for use against Russia).

Operation Prometheus

Jan 22 2020, a group of MV-22 Ospreys and Eurofighters land in a small Ukrainian airfield. The Ospreys are carrying Eucrejacks special forces and Deadmeats. The mission: Destroy or damage the Kursk Nuclear facility.

This will not be an easy task, the Russian airforce is patrolling the border with Ukraine heavily. A spy at the nuclear plant reveals it is however poorly guarded.
The mission will be to insert the special forces teams, allow them to damage/destroy the building, and then extract them safely.
To achieve this the Eurofighters will fire several missiles at a target east of the plant, to try and draw off the Russian airforce and the RAF in Ukraine will engage the
Russian airforce, holding it in place. The MV-22's will insert the special forces teams and try to achieve their mission.

The facility is defended by a garrison, the special forces will have to first defeat them, then demo the targets. I may bring in some heavier equipment to assist them. Some AS90's or some MRLS artillery.

*I will be sending a large part of the RAF to Ukraine to support this mission. Air superiority must be maintained in order for its success.
**I will transport some top of the line AA missile platforms to help in this.

In the Baltic sea, our carriers patrol and screen the incoming Trafalgar and Astute class submarines. The Trafalgars are less combat worthy, but each carry arount 6 Trident or Polaris SRBMs.

Feb 1, F-35 reported shot down over Bydgoszcs, Poland. Pilot ejected and was safely extracted with the help of the Polish military.




Russian forces are pushing into Poland. The Russian SAM's have scored some hits on our forces transfering to Ukraine and transporting. The F-35's are patrolling the airspace successfully and keeping fighters out however.

Sure, I'll add you as a Challenger III group. Currently they are all stationed at home, but I plan to ship a group to Poland and transfer them by land to Ukraine.

The operation was a success, our Eurofighters managed to shoot down Russian planes at a 5-1 kill ratio. There were some losses on ourside too however, our special forces teams took heavy attacks from the Russian airforce as they assaulted the compound. Several MV-22's were shot down during extraction, the special ops crew killed.

But, the objective was taken, Ukraine joined the fight against Russia and took control of the facility and the main part of our special forces made it back alive. Also we learnt our planes are superior to the Russians.

Our land forces are moving through France and Germany towards Poland, preparing to assist in the land war.

The Trafalgar class nuclear submarines are approaching their launch points to nuke the Russians.

AGM-84 Harpoon missiles fired from F-35's struck a Russian frigate off the coast of Poland and sunk it, success!

Curiosity, are you microing your units? When I've played as Brazil, I found that incredibly annoying to do, so I just set a waypoint and let the AI control it, with the exception of a few air units. I know that's less efficient, but how much so? And is there an easy way to micro without getting too overwhelmed?

Yeah i'm microing everything except for transport planes (which I use to move lightish units).
Agreed it is abit annoying, but its the only real way to play, anything else is just to slow and boring and your unit AI does stupid shit. As the UK its not so bad, we don't have a MASSIVE amount of units.
