I would be upset if there were separate hellmoos, because that would make both less populated. Wouldn't be looking forward to a bay12 hellmoo for that reason, among others.

There's been separate HellMOOs for over a year, so I think you're a bit late on potential upset there :P

The HellMOO blueprint is intrinsically fun and interesting, just as long as people are given the latitude to interact without a bunch of dumb rules (modern HellMOO) or admin drama (HATE) getting in the way. Which is to say, conflict makes the game more fun, so it's not something to worry about really. It's when there's an artificially enforced LACK of conflict that you start to get real problems.

I would love to see a B12 HellMOO. As long as you could get mature enough players to admin it, with multiple people playing checks and balances for each other, and a knowledgeable coder to patch things up and add new content, then it could work.

It is the freedom to pretty much do whatever you want that gives its main draw to the world of HellMOO. Once you take that freedom away, it becomes a carebear game, and isn't really the same anymore. I do remember when Hell was originally good, but then took a nosedive. The lack of population on HellMOO and HATEMOO wouldn't be a problem; you just offer something that the other two don't have or used to have, and create the nostalgia of past days without the retarded admin or arbitrary rules.

HellMOO is a vicious place, and it should stay that way without admin interference (unless it gets to a really bad point, but even NDY was killable, as seen by the time he died and had his airship broken into by myself et al). It rewards players for becoming stronger, but nobody is completely invincible, especially if people team up, which doesn't happen often due to the nature of the game. I suppose in FPS terms, it reminds me a lot of DayZ, where it is unforgiving, people die and can lose everything, but you stand to gain a lot of enjoyment because it's so brutal and rewarding in a way.

I miss the game it used to be.

When I was adminning Baystation 12, it was nothing like current Hell. I have noticed the few times I played it lately that things seem to have gotten extremely RP heavy, but still.

I'm entirely sure he meant that it would be carebearmoo if it was like baystation, where you're yelled at by admins for killing people as a traitor other than your objective with no exceptions, and where much worse badminnery is often spoken of, even if only isolated tales. I don't really think that the same thing could possibly happen with a game like hellmoo, where the roleplay is entirely intended to be based on random violence, but you can't be so sure.

Instantly saying a 'bay12 hellmoo' would turn into Baystation 12 is a bit out of the left field, considering it would be unlikely any of them would be interested in doing something such as that and also the fact their basicly independent from Bay12 besides name and player base.

I haven't played in forever, and when I tried to make a new account, I typed in my email and then desired username, but then is asked me for my email again. I put it in again, but it disconnected me, telling my that that email is already in use. It's been a few days and I still haven't gotten the email from it. Anybody know how I can make an account? I have an older one that I've forgotten the info for, but I still have the email. Is there a possibility I could retrieve it?

Holy shit, I got bored and took a little hiatus earlier this year and half expected the game to be dead when I came back, since playercounts and general player activity were already dwindling back then, but I never imagined it would go out in such a firestorm of hate and tears. I guess it shouldn't really come as a surprise though; Kharn was always a powertripping sperglord, even though he seemed to have mellowed out with time I was never really comfortable with that weird little clique of him, Eia and Alastor running the show.

RIP HATEmoo, and may a flight of angels headbutt thee to gay heaven~

This has been
just
holy fuck

I literally have no words for this.  This is from Babin logging on earlier just to see what was up:

Quote
1 players and 2 admins connected (total: 3.)

It bumped up to four players after he idled there for a while.  But, Benaron=Mada?  Really?  Holy fuck, that makes scary amounts of sense.

RE: Sexhabers

There are like 9000 other games where there is no combat system or anything.  Go do it there.  That is basically what they're for.

RE RE: Bay12/GoonMoo

This would be fucking awesome, but, we really need some non-assholes to admin.  Or at least amusing assholes to admin.

I'm not all that convinced either. The two speak and act fairly differently and honestly, I don't think either is really smart enough to pull off such an elaborate deception. There are simpler and more plausible explanations for this wacky series of events (Benaron paying for the new server, etc.)

WarMoo?  A neverending battle between two factions.  Could be fun.

This just gave me the idea of having San Francisco be a Chinese socialist city-state like in that fallout mod for darkest hour, assuming Freedom City is actually Los Angeles.
Having an overarching faction v. faction pvp would probably be detrimental to the random pvp of the game, though, as people would unite against a common enemy.
Also I realize this is not at all what you meant.
