38a - Goblin Ambush Team killing an ally?

I was busy doing some mining designations when I got a "Snatcher! Protect the children!" announcement popping up on my screen. A very short while after observing him, a Goblin ambush team is revealed (By the snatcher, I presume) and both parties (snatcher and ambush team) begin fighting. The snatcher is easily dispatched, and the goblins are continuing into my labyrinth of traps and pitfalls as I type this.

I assume goblin invaders killing a fellow goblin isn't normal. Is this a bug, or something I'm overlooking?

I've seen that too. In my case, the ambush team trying to find a way past my anti-goblin ditch came across a snatcher and sent it flying.

Happens with Kobolds as well, It's a known bug but it's not to high on the priority list.

It's not a bug, really. Imagine an ambush group sneaking to the fortress of that whimpy dwarves, and then, all of a sudden, some snatcher will spot them and cry "Well, hello there! What are YOU doing in this lovely place!?" so loudly, that every squirrel withinin half a mile will hear him... Of course they will go mad and kill him!

They should team up and attack together. I vote for 10 snatchers to come with ambushers.
