Turn 1After you fill out the forums, your called in one by one, to be told of your results.
Ludwig LaWitch(Vagel7) A fair faced young military woman calls you her office.
"Ludwig LaWitch? That's you? Good news. You've been accepted for further training in the Psionic core. Bad news-is says on here you've got a wifi uplink in your brain, and a data chip in your finger. They're both going to have to come out, for security reasons. Trust me-it's for your own good...welcome to the psi-corps, soldier.
Surgery is scheduled for a month from now."
Well, that sucks. When was the last time you weren't on the net? It's been years...
You know there's certain people that can fix your records for you. It'll cost alot of money though...in the meantime, your looking forward to training.
For your first year of training, as is standard for potential Psionic, you are given a strict regimen of moderate exercise, carefully controlled diet, and 20 hours a day in a sensory deprivation tank. During this seemingly eternal time, your powers begin to be honed. What do you concentrate on in particular?
A. Psionic Assault-The time in the tank pissed you off. You got bored, and frustrated. You were eventually able to turn your anger into a weapon. By the end, you were frying lab animals minds with ease.
B. Mind Shielding-The time in the tank cooled you down. Alot of things started to make sense. You dove inward, exploring your own lifes memories, and examining them in great detail. It was a humbling experience. By the end of training, you had purged yourself of the guilts and shames that enemy psychics use to attack you. You feel you can not only defend yourself, but your squadmates as well.
C. Mental Studies-The time in the tank made you wonder. There was a lot of things you didn't know. Lots of things you wanted to know. So, you started casting about, reading the minds of other people, and preforming rudimentary astral projections. You began to understand why people thought the way they did. By the end of training, you felt you had a greater understanding of the human mind.
Afterwards, it's a year of physical/mental conditioning to rebuild and learn to apply your powers. Psi-ops takes care of it's valuable members-they let you choose your training planet.
A. Solari: A world renowned for it's naturally occuring green crystal formations, breathable atmosphere and low gravity. It's only used by training Psionic soldiers-in their natural state. the crystals help them focus their mental powers. It's a placid world though, with few predators and easy conditions. You had a great time. You feel your offensive mental powers increase by 5 fold, and you even got a souvenir-a living green crystal amulet, bonded to your own lifeforce. Physically, your not as strong as you hoped you would be. That gravity doesn't lend itself to hard labor.
B. Hex: An unstable volcanic world located on the outer rim. It's proven to weed out the weakest soldiers, and leave only the strong. Your psychic powers here were more used to defend yourself against hyper evolved predators, which are known to use mental attacks against their prey. You survived, and have the scars to prove it. You feel your defensive mental powers have greatly increased-they had to, or you would have ended up digesting in the belly of that monster. You took one of his fangs for a trophy-it's a powerful defensive focus. After you faced down that monsters fangs, what can hurt you? Physically, your at your peak. You feel like a God.
C. Typhoon Prime: Aquatic world, known for it's deep blue seas, beautiful islands and deadly seasonal storms. Your training here allowed you time for peaceful psychic meditation, intersped with intense physical training in the worlds oceans. There was plenty of time to slack off, as well-everyone here seems calm and relaxed, even the drill instructors. Your empathy began to grow here, as peoples unguarded minds were laid open to you. You were careful not to hurt anyone, and gained understanding and foresight. You also demonstrated the burgeoning ability of future telling-you won the office pool on predicting summer storms for 4 weeks in a row. Your prize was a luminous pearl from one of Typhoons giant clams, which you wear around your neck. Just looking at it can cause anyone to relax... Afterwards, you felt well balanced physically. You were much stronger then you were before.
Your third year was your first mission posting. You were highly recommended by many of your superiors. What did you eventually settle on?
A. Achilles Psionic Research Institute: You spend your first assignment helping the scientists and researchers at the Achilles stations develop psychic technology and training methods, along with aiding general research and development. They extensively developed your mental defenses, testing you against all sorts of exotic devices. Your personal record, as of now unbeaten, was to break fourteen Psi-Amps in a row on maximum setting. Your last six months were spend on an expedition to the various worlds in Earthgov space that still have psychic resonance of the ancient aliens that once inhabited them. You not only increased your minds strength, you learned many new things. The scientists are sad to see you go and waste all that talent using it to kill people, and hint that there's a job for you here if you ever come out of it alive.
B. Psi Gate Military Prison Guard: Psi Gate Prison was Hell. It's the only prison in Earthgov space that's equipped to deal with the worst of the worst criminals-terrorists, violent murderers and psychopathic rapists with dangerous psychic powers, that can't or won't be given the death sentence. After your tour there, you had learned to defend yourself and against every sick, twisted, hateful thought they threw at you and retaliate in equal measure-with your mind and your body, since to these monsters, both were weapons. It took a toll on your Humanity, but that's why they gave it to you-now, you look back on your old self who might have hesitated in combat, and you don't recognize him anymore. Your physical strength and offensive psychic powers greatly increased.
C. Anti-Terrorist Field Agent: You were recruited for a short time into the OSA special services. Terrorist attacks on Earthgov facilities have been getting worse in recent years...you spend the year in the field, learning to handle various firearms and psychic attacks in combat. It wasn't an easy job. You had to interrogate people. You also had to go undercover for six months, hiding your identity, covertly scanning for mental information, while pretending they were your friends. Your subterfuge, empathy and intelligence gathering skills reached a notable level, and you received extensive firearms experience.
----------
Wulfric Hersayer (Adwarf) Your the next one. The young woman smiles at you.
"It's always good to see young men like yourself volunteer for the good of Humanity."
Her tone changes as she looks at your sheet.
"The testers were concerned your answers on the test were a bit too predictable-we're looking for innovation on the battlefield, after all... Normally' we'd bounce you, but we're suffering from a lack of qualified recruits, so you've been given the position. Training starts right away...I hope you like the South..."
For your first year of training, you are dropped off in a backwater guard post with two other guys, in the badlands of what was once South Carolina, now ruled by heavily armed outlaw biker gangs who regularly take potshots at you.
which skill did concentrate on in particular during your post?
A. Auto-Cannon Training: Your natural first choice was the auto-cannon, a heavy machine gun. It's weight was a drawback, but you eventually learned to control it. Bikers stopped trying to ride by your post after a few weeks, when you started hanging the twisted handlebars from the destroyed ones on your tower as trophies. You learned marksmanship with the auto-cannon.
B. Air/Ground Asset Designation: You developed a sadistic streak, practicing your skills at designating targets for air strikes-usually targeted at local Biker Camps, or bars that served watered down beer. You got plenty of practice.
C. Demolitions-You spend your free weekends riding with the bikers, who turned out not to be such bad guys once you got to know them. In between getting drunk and blasting mutant scorpions with shotguns, they taught you how to jury rig explosive devices and destroy structures for fun and profit.
Luckily, you eventually got out of that Anarchic Hell-Hole of former South Carolina, and got sent straight to training on Hex, the Volcanic Death-Planet. Crap!
How did you survive your time on Hex?
A. Hunting: You survived Hex-Hell, the planet was lucky it survived YOU. You spent your time laying waste to the local wildlife with high power firearms, then dragging them back to camp. You acquired a taste for exotic meats, as well useful combat experience.
B. Ordinace Disposal: All those old artillery shells have to go somewhere, right? Technically, Hex is classifed as a weapons dump, but in truth, it's also used as a live fire range for training gunners. You worked with them and learned the ins and outs of the profession, and put a few more craters in that ugly fucking world. It was very theruaeputic.
C. Tunnel Rat: Yeah. The hidden network of subterranean tunnels under Hex surface is much more entertaining, and people like you volunteered to go down and clear the ambushing creatures from them. You were lucky to get out alive, but you learned valuable knowledge about ambushing-watching out for them, and planning your own, usually with large explosions.
Your third year was slightly better-they finally noticed your skills, and sent you to Planet Pandora for special training, in preparation for a real assignment. You were very eager-and lucky that the Alien Natives of Pandora were rebelling this year. What job did you sign up for?
A. Heavy Support: The first thing you practiced with was guns. Lots of guns. And Rocket launchers. The once verdant shattered jungle is a testament to your prowess. You mastered the Auto-cannon
B. Door Gunner: Opting to be in the sky, rather than pounding the ground, you made friends and gained valuable skill in asset designation while serving in a War Bird-you learned the sweet science of dropping the hammer, as they call it, and a many of them promise to help you out you meet again on the field.
C. Sapper: Your skills with bombs and explosives turned into a professional art. Your demolition skills were instrumental in destroying the Pandorans Mighty Spirit Tree, or whatever it was. It was huge! Like a hundred stories tall! And you blew it up.
With. One. Bomb.

Lev Kuzyakin (Phantom)A little while later, you enter the office.
"Lev Kuz-yak-in? Did I pronounce that right? Good.
We liked your answers. You were willing to disbelieve an obvious impossibility on the final question, and accept it as un unwinnable test. I think you'll make an excellent Tech.
Also, we noticed you have no augments. A definite plus...what they don't tell you if that these augments make you a lot more susceptible to injury, and they weaken your bodies natural strengths."
For your first year of training, they sent you to a special sort of stress training located in a old monastery in Spain-mostly, you try to hack a computer. While people are shooting at you...what did you concentrate your training on?
A. Electronic Warfare: You eventually learned what the instructors were trying to teach you-get rid of the enemy and you've got all the time in the world. You began practicing with EMP weaponry, and Nano-hacking the enemy Marines powered armor and weaponry from a distance. Fun times.
B. Hacking: You totally didn't learn what the instructors were trying to teach you. You just hacked so fast they could never get a bead on you, and became as slippery as an eel when it came to sneaking and dodging.
C. Robotic Programming: You didn't learn anything at all. You couldn't hack fast enough before you got tagged, and the EW stuff was too complicated for to you to figure out under fire...and those turrets, so annoying! That was your big idea. You broke into the databanks and reprogrammed the turrets to fire on the enemy marines, instead of you. Big hit with the Commander-almost got you washed out, but he eventually came around to appreciate your ingenuity.
After some time off to recover from injuries you sustained (those guys were pretty angry how you kept beating them) Earthgov decided you were a perfect candidate for a long range exploratory mission to the a recently discovered Scrap World. It was fairly interesting, since Scrap Worlds are known to contain ancient pieces of technology...you touched down 7 months later. What was the first thing you looked for?
A. Ancient Weapons: And you found surprisingly few, considering. Most of the stuff you did find was way too unstable to study, but you gained a working insight into alien battle technology.
B. Sentient Robots: There were actually tribes of them working and living on the planet, abandoned by their masters generations ago. They were friendly, and taught you programming tricks you wouldn't have ever thought of, along with an insight into an advanced machines mindset.
C. Ancient Knowledge: Finding intact Data-Discs was nearly impossible in all the rubble, but you invented various detectors that measured the subtle radiation they emanated, and managed to find at least one working version. Unfortunately, all it contained was Alien Porn...
Your ship was getting ready to take off, with all the knowledge and artifacts you had gathered over the last six months, when a random pirate ship dropped a few warheads on it from orbit, probably for kicks. Damn. You were stranded for six months-how did you eventually escape?
A. Rebuilt the Ship: You gathered up parts from all over the Scrap World and slowly, but surely rebuild the vessel, restoring life support, engines and navigation. When your ramshackle ship finally floated into Earthgov space a year later, you were found by a Destroyer that had assumed you were derelict.
B. Stole The Pirates Ship: It was a long shot-making a false distress beacon to lure the pirates to land, sneaking on their ship and hacking their entire A. I core. But you made it look easy. Flying it back was a whole different story...
C. Built a Long Range Communication Dish: From Scratch. You made it sound important enough they send a small fleet, even. Too bad those Pirates were still hanging around, and got turned to space dust. Aww.
OOC: Not done yet, I know. My brain hurts from writing so much, so I'm taking a break. Taricus and Ahra coming up soon.
