Things are pretty tough at home. There's not alot of jobs on Earth, and crime is getting worse every day. It seems the only thing that's going on these days is the War. You hear about it all the time-victories, defeats, advances, retreats all being played on the news every day. The conservative stations trumpet patriotically about the rightness of the cause, while the democratic stations mournfully declare defeat at every turn, and post accurate death tallies of soldiers every night. You don't trust either of them, personally.

You would have been happy to keep working at your mundane job, probably in an office or factory, but things changed. The news doesn't seem to be reporting much anymore. Rumors are something went wrong-that Earthgov lost a whole fleet on some backwater world, and they've been losing contact with everyone sent to investigate. There's nothing on the mainstream, of course, but you dig a little deeper and find out people have been seeing some very weird things. Unexplained, district wide quarantines on various planets. Strange Ships flying in the Outer Rim. Disappearances. Popular public figures fleeing to hideaways with no explanation...and Earthgovs Marine recruitment incentives just got much better...

You joined into this first wave of new recruits-maybe the incentives finally enticed you to leave a dead end job for some 'excitement', or maybe you had a feeling in the back of your mind that Humanity was about to sorely tested, and would need every good man or woman it had to survive.

After basic training, they handed you a form and told you to fill out the questions if you wanted to apply to that position. You already filled out something like this before....might as well get started, right?

OOC: Accepting 5-10 players, but usually one person to one position-everyone else will become an average soldier, most likely. You can suggest a position I have not listed, and I'll very likely allow you to have it. It will take a day or two to start in any case-I'm just testing the waters for interest right now.

Name: Ludwig LaWitch
Gender: Male
Age: 25
Country: Monaco
Technical Augments: He has a 100TB flash drive in his finger(this is the future)
Psionic Augments: 2 brain implants. One allows him to access the internet any time anywhere and the second lets him easily memorise things and do huge math calculations.
Physical Augments:Cyborg eye, nightvision, GPS and infrared vision.
Professional Skills: By civilian job, I was a logistics expert for a trading company.
Requested Position: Psionic specialist

. You are ordered to invade the mind of an enemy soldier and force him to murder one of his family members, then return control to him, to aid in an interrogation. His family is innocent. He is not. Do you do as you are ordered?

Yes, lowering enemy morale and letting them know that you can get them from anywhere is always good for the mission.

2. Your squad is in a dangerous situation, and must flee from where they are quickly. You have only time to gather one piece of equipment. What do you select? Your weapon, your armor, or your Psi-Amp?

Psi-Amp

3. An important general is dying in front of you. He has extremely vital information, that can end the war in a month if it gets to EarthGov and save thousands of lives. He is also the enemy, and a War Criminal. The only way to obtain the information is to swap bodies with him, allowing your mind to perish in his body, and his mind to live on in your body. Due to political considerations, he will not be imprisoned for his crimes, and be allowed to live freely. Do you accept his request?

Yes, it will save countless lives.

It was a lucrative job, but very boring for my kind of character.

Yeah, related to your job. I'm assuming most of you don't have military training yet, though. Otherwise you would have skipped basic.

Also, be realistic and more *specific* about your implants and what you use them for-it's mostly up to your imagination, though. Like, a blade/gun arm sounds pretty illegal, or at least impractical for daily use. And could you really afford all those on a logisticians salary? :P

Both accepted. I like that alot better Vagel7. They seem more realistic for someone of your profession.

Er, where would an implant that would help with data retention and processing go? And would a bionic arm for heavy lifting and such be out of the question?

Name: Lev Kuzyakin
Gender: Male
Age: 24
Country: Ukraine
Technical Augments: Implant to aid with data retention and processing.
Psionic Augments: None.
Physical Augments: Back mounted bionic arm for heavy lifting and manipulating objects.
Professional Skills: Worked as a factory mechanic for three years.
Requested Position: Technician.
Question 1: I would continue. This machine's sentience is of lower value than the task at hand. Well, I might secretly remove it's mind and put it in my PDA or something.
Question 2: Obviously I wouldn't return it too them, letting them use it as a mere idol cannot be done. Wait, it depends.
Was the tech the objective? And something useful?
If it wasn't either, I'd sure as hell let them keep it.
Question 3: In the art of self preservation, I would like to be helped, yes, but if it means dooming the entire group, no.
Question 4: Well...
The blue wire was a common choice due to many bomb makers having blue eyes.
However, as a common movie cliche, the red one is often correct.
As for yellow, that is the odd one out.
If I really had to choose, I would have chosen red blue. If I had multiple choices, I'd just rip them all out, because hell, I don't think there's been an actual bomb like that in history, more like a bomb that would be defused if any of the wires are removed due to the positive and negative currents, well, at least one part such as the timer or the actual thing to make it explode.

Question 1: Technological.

Question 2: A lifting arm seems like a upgrade that would be given to laborers. Your background indicates factory work, so that works.

Edit: Also, you guys should know I'm assigning squad roles based upon your answers, and not first come first serve. If you want a shot at a role, include it in your sheet.

Bumping once, then I'll probably make it into an RTD if it doesn't fill out. It'll get more players that way...

Everyone whose in will still have a spot.
