mwuahahahaha! and remember, our impromptu swimming pool is aquifer fed. so it'll keep on going, and going, and going, and... well you get the picture.

Yeah.  Thus why I didn't make a trap.  In it's current state the fortress didn't need a trap, the whole damn fortress is a trap.

Actually, to keep damage from becoming permanent, the flood isn't aquifer fed.

But there's still a significant quantity of it that you'll have to deal with.

But the water flooding your basement will soon become the least of your worries.

There's a reason why I placed the bomb in the volcano.

Oh noes - encased in obsidian... actually that's an awesome idea I wonder whether you could pump a fortress full of obsidian and then "excavate" it so the fortress is free standing, you'd have to have water at the bottom and magma at the top though so they don't just block the passageways. The situation has never been more ideal!

Actually, I destroyed the magma pump first thing in order to make sure that it wouldn't do anything. However, unforeseen circumstances have cropped up, and I am afraid I shall have to be skipped. Sorry.

awwww.... i was hoping that the aquifer would remain unplugged... it would only flood MOST of the fort, so technically it's not fort killing, just an enormous setback.

But unrestrained aquifer leasing is way too easy to accomplish considering how much destruction it does.

Not dwarven at all.

No, no, no. Look for the green T; it's description calls it a "giant therapod."
We're therapods! Actually so are most large animals, a therapods basically: get a blob stick four limbs on it, stick some bits on the end of those limbs and hey lets chuck another blob on it and chuck stuff on it like noses and brains. Hell even birds are therapods, there hands are just fused together and snakes who's arms and legs are inside their skin... and snails... hmm lets see how many people will fall for snails  :P Then again you probably already all knew that  :(
Theropoda (theropod /ˈθɛrəpɒd/; suborder name Theropoda /θɨˈrɒpɵdə/, from Greek meaning "beast feet") is both a suborder of bipedal saurischian dinosaurs, and a clade consisting of that suborder and its descendants (including modern birds). Dinosaurs belonging to the suborder theropoda were primarily carnivorous

And now I see where I went wrong after some investigation, they look roughly the same  :P Tetrapods not Therapods.

Tetrapods (Greek τετραποδη tetrapodē, equivalent to Latin quadruped, "four-footed") are vertebrate animals having four limbs. Amphibians, reptiles, birds and mammals are all tetrapods; even snakes and other limbless reptiles and amphibians are tetrapods by descent.

Wow, this is really one awesome succession fort, although strangely, the awesomeness derives less from the traps left by previous overseers, and more of the sieges, invasions, and random stuff, and how the current overseer reacts to them.

I don't want a turn, but can I be dorfed?  Nix, marksdorf, please.

Posting to watch, and support.
