What vacuum? That would've been helpful about an hour ago.
-facepalm-

How did you get ANYTHING without using your vacuum? You didn't take notice of the sparkly orb things sitting there?

Also, press 'v' to suck, 'x' to dispel. They toggle, so you can press the same button again when you want to dig.

And more people should actually read the tutorial.

You can get by pretty easily without using th'vac at all, though. Just set up conveyors before you start digging a particular chunk of land. Last time I played I tried to use the vac as little as humanly possible, to avoid th'crash bug involved with it. I didn't miss it terribly much.

Bu..but..I couldn't even get enough materials to get belts to the dinosaur graveyard until I tried hard for it. Mining completely like that would make me sad.

Megabombs are super overpowered. You can just throw a ton of them on one part, a second apart, and then you are at the bottom. They are cheap, too.

And kill moles in one hit. So basically you can mine a bit, megabombs, and all you have to worry about is your wi-fi.

What I did was dig down as far as I could go, bring a scoop down, and set some conveyers down. Then I just dig up.

Were you off-screen at all? If part of you is touching the side of the screen it almost always crashes when vacuuming.

While I did know how to use the vaccum the best method is to drop down like 2 levels and spread a full area conveyor attached to the pully thing.  Then just dig/blast like crazy above and you catch everything in mass.  This takes a lot less time than vaccum antics and doesn't risk the crash.

If not under Neotemplar look for Vellum.

As near as I can tell, if even the little particles the vacuum puts out goes off screen, you've got a bloody good chance of crashing. Don't point the vac toward the edge and you'll probably be fine.

Oh. I stopped even digging the walls on the side of the screen once it crashed the first time, might want to try that until it's fixed.

The game is actually very fun, it surprised me as i was not expectin much from the "dig and collect elements" concept.
Too bad it crashes often.

Actually, I think the dirtzooka rockets are more cost-efficient when you fully upgrade them.

And anyway, the vacuum is not just mostly useless... it is almost completely useless, quite honestly.
Just add a whatever-it's-called-that-lifts-minerals to the left side and then section out square chunks of the entire land using conveyers for mining/bombing. The vacuum is unnecessary AND has a tendency to crash the game. It'd be a lot better if the Vac Pac didn't just spew out the minerals and if the vacuum's capacity could be upgraded.
