And so, the spiritual successor to VGA Miner is released, and there was much rejoicing.

Ustxu Iceraped the Frigid Crystal of Slaughter was a glacier titan. It was the only one of its kind. A gigantic feathered carp composed of crystal glass. It has five mouths full of treacherous teeth, enormous clear wings, and ferocious blue eyes. Beware its icy breath! Ustxu was associated with oceans, glaciers, boats, and murder.

pretty cool game, but you lose your water/magma resistance when you reload from a saved game.  and you cant buy more because its "sold out".  lame.

There's a tree to find a sizeable amount of minerals under, though.

that game with the dwarf mining out the volcano had more replay value.  if only I could remember the name, I'd replay it.

The fact that you can build platforms not connected to anything means you can make the moon into a huge funnel from the very beginning. Stars too. I have more stuff than I know what to do with. It's pretty fun so far though, although I can see it getting boring after a bit...

Oh hey, this is pretty nea... Godamnit, stupid crashing wiped out like half a hour of progress.

I only got one crash in 3 hours that wasn't from the weird vacuuming the right side of the screen.

In other news, I 'beat' the game. The hardest part was getting through the tons of lavafalls you HAVE to go through at the end, as the lava-shield became non-functional after I had to close and start it again.
------------
Things that could be changed:
Anyways, this game needs more challenge. I pretty much stopped at the top of the dinosaur graveyard, because I can just mine above there and have everything I need, and nuking the moles from above was getting old. If the rarer minerals were more common lower, this would solve this.

Remove the moon and stars, or at least make them contain non-specific stuff. I had at least an infinite supply of Rariest, and if I needed more of the others I could just break a couple stars and have a LOT.

Layer Editor: Because a whole Bay12 Planet community project would be...awesome. Like, pure awesome.

More building options: I know, I know, it's not Terraria/Minecraft...but I wanna make stuff. I had nearly NO reason to build things after a few layers down.
-------------

Also, as a side note, I am pretty sure there are one or two 'inappropriate' images if you use your mineralvision and look for them (could be a coincidence...). And a cat. I liked those little easter eggs!

This is awesome but way way too short. It needs to be massively longer so I can build more complicated conveyor systems.  Also the Giga Bomb is pretty much the best way to divert lava/water or kill moles.  The other items are pointless, though the rockets are fun.

What's the vac pac for?
You get a vacum you can DRAG AROUND. If it is close enough to you, things you suck up will be expelled to it, meaning you don't have to go up to your thing.

And you don't need complicated systems. Even if you want to have a rig from very far down, just do a wall of platforms, and then do a scooper from top to bottom. Stand right next to the wall, shoot. The belts are truly unnecessary. Now, if you want to make the longest, most squiggly rig ever, be my guest, but even at the lowest levels it's just a long line.

So, getting it sucks stuff in? IS that something I have to buy?

Well, it's a moveable floating thingie, and if you are close enough your vacuum teleports it to the televacuum directly, instead of you having to go to your rig.

If you have a rig that goes down to where you are digging, it can be pretty helpful. If you have to travel to get to your rig anyways, it's pointless.

What vacuum? That would've been helpful about an hour ago.
