It seems that the problem with Very Hard campaign aggressiveness is that they lose any desire to attack each other in favor of attacking the player exclusively. However, this means that no faction ends up a superpower that might actually threaten the player once the steamroller gets going.

try and look in the internet for an increase in difficulty mod for the ai.
I'd be buggered if there isn't a madmen who hasn't thought and done it.

What you want is an AI on the opposite side of the planet, so in this case Scythia, to have this 'ultra' AI. So they win all their battles, conquer territory, and you have a challenge in the later game.

To be honest i expected everyone to vote for "20+ turns" and "Other - Let Julii capture half your empire", you folks surprised me with the Go fo the kill votes.

The only mod that improved AI is Darth Mod, but it will not make our save compatible, and it mostly (only) improves campaign AI.

What i may do, looking at the votes, and trying to make everyone happy, is.. Waiting (A*voters+B*voters+C*voters)/voters turns, then going for Macedon (but not capturing it until all east is mine), Germany, Egypt and leaving Romans the hell alone. Perhaps even allowing them to capture some of my provinces (5?), but only if those idiots decide to continue to ignore the independant ones.
All this to have a strong post-reform Roman blob waiting for me on my way back.

Of course horse archers vs naked fanatics is going to be a rape.. but we knew what we were getting into!

How does that sound? 
I may as well end this, and afterwards simulate some custom battles against VH armies picked by the viewers. (better or larger or both than my own army naturally)

edit : come to think of it, the last option seems the most fun and interactive! Guiding the retarded campaign AI to power is getting tiresome. (and i imagine They'd make light auxilia / light cav / archers / 1 urban armies...)

 Horse archers? You have Egyptian stacks of decent units by now, and probably huge pontic armies (I swear the AI cheats, it would take all game to get a pontic army of nothing but bronze shields, but they've done it before). Oh and then there's the Riot risk you'll be running.

Well yes, the AI does cheat. Julii have built 6 units, a ship and 1-2 generals per turn, with two cities  Not to mention the Scipii in Armenia campaign, replacing assassinated generals insantly, and teleporting them to the army..

Still.. Egyptians are a terrible mob, with only chariots being dangerous.
As for Pontus.. It'd have to devour Egypt, Greece, Seleucid, Armenia & co to pose any threat at all.

I've decided against blood bowl, it has the same AI problems. What i'd go for would be either The Guild (roleplay LP naturally) or.. a roleplay LP of one of our favorite Armenian characters stumbling across the world of Morrowind (absolutely no powerplay!) i like Morrowind.
(I thought about X-com for a while but A: There are tons of x-com let's play's here, and B: We'd curbstomp the aliens and make them look silly)

Still i'll let you folks decide what to do with Spain LP. A few days break should give every one of you who wishes to speak up, enough time to do so.

Yes. But the prequel was - in my opinion - much better. Less focused on running around, more on empire building. It also had some neat features, revealing which would be a spoiler, and it's the prequel i'd play.
A shame there are no games like the Guild

I already saw a Let's Play of the guild 2, and that one was really awesome. If the prequel is better, though, then this ought to be a fun LP.
