Remember how Germans have sent an army just to cripple our advance? Aye, this suicidal attack of ze Germans has allowed me to test a new morale breaking combo.. Staring Javelins, Encirclement aaand..
Puppies!
Here you can insert the tittle screenshot. Our only losses were due to friendly fire javelin throws. German army was decimated. Such is the fate of general-less bunch that dares to call itself an Army.
There is some hope yet for the AI, Julii begin the siege of an independant city.. FINALLY!
We, however, proceed with the Siege of Corinth, as well as Thermon.
Thermon Falls easily, and so our Army sails to Apollonia (sailing is faster)
Will two armies be enough? Most likely yes, but we send another one.
In the following turn Brutii siege Thermon.. silly Brutii.. I begin the siege of Apollonia. (Uphill video is of this battle)
At the same time, battle for Corinth begins. (Initially, i wanted to put up a video of this siege, but it was
29 minutes long, and we curbstomped the enemy)
The battle was an obvious win, due to majority of enemy forces starting OUTSIDE of the city, and us having a very mobile force. Corinth is ours, and with Corinth comes the IWIN wonder that makes everyone happy. (whatever faction you play, aim to take this Wonder, viewer)
Up until this point, i still wanted to slowly take over the world, staging some awesome battles, but..
Julii LOST to independant effin peasants, and their siege is broken. I snapped, and went all Numidia on the game, simply rushing in all directions to get 50 provinces and win. I'm sorry, it's simply too much. Seeing as the Julii couldn't organize an attack against free-to-take cities for two decades, and when They finally did, They LOST?
They have no trouble in sending entire fucking stacks every three rounds against us..
Let us end this.
We have three armies in Greece, right? Wrong.
Another one is on its way, it just had to capture Crete on the way.
We capture the barbaric version of Denmark..
..and Damme, one of the very few German cities left.
There is not enough factions in our "At war with.." list, so we attack Dacia. Sadly Dacians appear to have lost their armies somewhere.. Probably traded them for tentacle porn.
What surprised me is that Brutii and Macedon were actually fighting each other! If not for the stupidity of Julii i would continue the LP if only for that first sign of fair play..
But it's too little, and too late. Athens are under siege.
And Army group Crete has just arrived. FOUR armies in Greece. Check Mate.
Does it reduce our strength on other fronts? Nope. I don't like getting caught with my pants down, so i always keep a trick or two in my sleeve. This time, however, no tricks are needed. As explained by this chart.
The 2 mysterious lost battles were naval.
