Beginner's Mafia XXV - Day 1: IN UR BASE...
« Reply #60 on: July 14, 2011, 07:46:54 am »

Alert! RED Spies in our base! Protect the briefcase!
The voice of Helen, the announcer, echoed through the corridors as the BLU team charged into the intel room.
They all let out a sigh of relief when they noticed that the intelligence is still where it was supposed to be.
Expecting the spies to enter the room at any moment, everybody aimed their weapons at the entrance, fingers at the triggers.

It took everybody a while to notice that those were SPIES they were dealing with.
They were most likely already there, in that very room.
And it could be very well anybody here.
The easy way would just to kill everybody in this room.
However, if they did that, some other RED goon could simply walk in and take the briefcase without anybody stopping him.
Tactical finesse was asked for here.

Flintus10: Hello there, good to see you, I can't recall your face, but you said you had played before. How did that work out for you?
Vector: Seems you have already gotten a reputation for being a little grumpy. Do you think that is fair?
Noah22223: If your reading this, relax, I'm going to be making sure Darvi prods the lurkers until he get's so sick of me, he just replaces them, so you might get in soon.

Yes.  I am generally more than a little grumpy.

This is my advice as your IC: You should vote with that RVS.  You can change your mind about that later, but a beginner should follow that convention at least until s/he learns other attack patterns.

The RVS is your first volley in an extraordinarily aggressive game.  Never forget it.

Freeformschooler, what do you consider your most important line of defense?

Purple.  :P

So, Irony seems to think you both have similar styles enough that it would be redundant to have you both. Does that make it easier or harder to read each other?

Nah, I don't think our styles are that similar--although they could be.  It's not something I'm adamant about.

I have no idea about Irony's ability to read me.  I'm quite certain that I can read Irony.

That is a very confident stance you are taking, although it is good to know that if one of our IC's is scummy, at least the has a good chance to pick up on it, and if both of you are scummy I'm going to bitch to Darvi about an unfair game. Do you feel as sure in your ability to find scum amongst the newer ranks?

Depends.  I'm still recalibrating my scumdar, and scum taught by Webadict will likely be hard to find.  I do intend to learn from my numerous errors last game, however.  Usually it takes me a game or so to warm up.

Perhaps not lynching the lurkers might work a little better...

Al right, I'm busy tomorrow, so I'm heading off to bed. Give everybody else a chance before I fill up the thread.

Deadmeat1471, how do you plan to find the scums ?

I plan on voting randomly and probing the target for information and tells. Hopefully revealing a scumbag in the process.

anzki4 whats your plan?

Freeformschooler, what do you consider your most important line of defense?

My most important line of defense? As in who I consider best to defend me as an organization? I'd say my own team. They've got my back.

freeformschooler, what is your favorite class ?

Definitely Scout. I like being independent, and helping when necessary.

Meanmelter, how do you plan to protect the rest of us?

There's a certain lack of voting randomly here.

Okay Meanmelter is not here so I have a few more questions.

Deadmeat1471, do you feel confident in your ability to spot the scums once one of us has found them?

Max White, how would you feel if your teammate betrayed you and lied to you?
