Lots of people do this... in fact, I bet it's a minority of people who don't have a morbid fascination with this subject at some point.

Here's something wierd.  I almost never remember my dreams.  I typically have some vague, abstract residual notion that fades a couple minutes after waking up.  Often I don't even get that.  Actually remembering anything specific is really rare.

Lastnight I remembered some of a dream involving this forum.  The Progessive Rage Thread had somehow decided to start compiling a list of sexual fetishes and categorizing them as abusive or non-abusive.  It turned out I had a massive list of them that I was personally interested in.  I don't remember how people reacted to this.  I do remember that none of them made any sense at all.  A couple involved ladders and porcupines somehow.

I question my wisdom in sharing this, but I find it too humorous to resist.

I obsessively make sure I have no loose eyelashes which always progresses making sure there are lashes facing in odd directions which progresses into making sure there are no particles on my eyelashes. I sometimes spend ten or twenty minutes just looking at a mirror "fixing" my eyelashes. I'm equally obsessive about cleaning underneath my (short) fingernails which I usually do with a needle or a safety pin or another thin, sharp, pointy object.
Also related to eyes, I sometimes like to look at them in the mirror and play around with the size of my pupils by doing things like changing my vision's focus or casting a shadow over or next to my pupil.

Psychopathic? When I was in Scouts, we were at this trailer park for some reason, I had gotten all my stuff out and onto the top bunk. I went away for a while, came back and this other kid had put his stuff onto the top bunk and put my stuff onto the floor. Next thing I remember is him crying while adults fuss around him. Apparently I slammed him face first into the metal bunk bed.

Also, about... four years ago, when I was in primary school there was this younger kid who wouldn't leave me alone, always tormenting me and ducking in behind the teacher or his older friends before I could do anything. One day he threw my hat in the bin and when I confronted him he just laughed. I went for him, but these two bigger guys grabbed my arms and held me back. I don't really remember it that well, but apparently I dragged these two huge guys, together easily three to four times stronger than me, 10 metres before the teacher got there.

When it comes to strange stuff I really have this weird thing where if I imagine something like a martial arts move sometimes I get sent  into a loop where I just replay it in my head for ages until I whack myself in the side of my head.

Yep, everyone does that. I do that a lot, and there's one person in particular I'm super angry at right now. I'm planning on talking to him next week, telling him how I feel and breaking off all interaction with him, but I've never been as angry as I was, and it's all because of him.

What makes it worse is he's been my best friend for 7 years.

I've done a lot of really stupid things in my years (who hasn't) but I can't name too many really crazy stuff. I sometimes get the compulsion to slide across the fronts of cars, Starsky and Hutch style. While they're moving. I was even running after this suv and was just getting ready to jump into the back when my brain said, "NO."

Does obsessively talking to yourself when you're embarassed count? I do that all the time whenever I remember saying or doing something insanely stupid. I'll be apologizing to thin air even. That, combined with a tendency to say whatever is on my mind at the moment tends to make for a bad duo.
