Kilakan: About how sure of someone being scum would you have to be to place the first vote on them?  Second?  To hammer?

I'd want to be very sure about someone to place the second vote and absolutely sure to hammer.  For placing the first vote I'd want to have suspicions and use the vote for pressure to either conform or deny my suspicions.

This seems very much like your scum game from what I can tell. You were the first to post and you've been keeping extremely active, making your presence known, something I noticed you doing quite a bit in your scum game, but less so in your town game.

I call bullshit on your meta. Looking at BM24 where I was town and had the most posts, then BM where I was scum and had the forth most posts, although this was because I was busy for those few days, and had a lot to do, so would have posted a little more given the chance. I'm just an active player.

I'm talking about your early game. You were hardly active when BM24 first started (then you started to pick up) whereas in BM25 (where you were scum) you were active right off the bat, as you are now, and then you lulled a bit once things got started.

Mostly the fact that he didn't over react. He called me out on it, defended himself only briefly, and asked me to provide further reasoning. All without an OMGUS vote. That looks good.

Interesting.  With that in mind, what is keeping your vote on him?

Acting town and looking good does not always mean someone's a townie. I don't remove my vote without a good reason in Vengefuls.

That makes for an unique voting pattern, taking the game into account. You don't think it is a little gun-ho? I would like to hear why you think that is a good idea.

It's worked plenty well in the past. A simple reaction to a vote can tell a lot about a player, especially in a Vengeful. It's not gun-ho at all. Worst that can happen is that someone puts you at L-1 without a strong reason. Then I unvote and we have a pretty good idea of who scum is. Or if you get insta-hammered, we know for sure who scum is.

Being within insta-hammer range was a bit of a turn off, but I guess it would reveal scum. But then again...
What would you think of a player who planted a vote on somebody, and then refused to move it, despite little or no evidence, just out of policy?

You mean what would I think of a player such as myself? I would think that as long as their vote didn't place that somebody at L-1 and they had at least some reason for placing the vote in the first place, that there was nothing strange about it. It's more sketchy, in my opinion, to vote and then immediately unvote with little reason. That's like saying "You might be scum! Wait, you don't like that? Okay, I'll let you go."
