That wasn't why it was funny. It's because it was literally every single game, to the point where you weren't sure if he simply had multiple smaller midterms placed at regular intervals or a few ridiculously big midterms. Heck, I'm still under the impression that he's stuck in some sort of recursive midterm, where midway through each midterm, he has to complete another midterm.

"I told you to write an outline for the unit.  And you give me this rubbish!  It's full of gaps!"

"Gaps in testing!  How are we supposed to keep our students on track if there are these three month gaps between assessments?  Don't come back until you've gotten rid of them!"

It was three days later that Banks found a new, revised outline for the unit on his desk.  He looked at it briefly, but then scowled and wrote a single line on it.
There are now twice as many gaps.  This won't do, fix it at once.
