Lords of Mafia is perhaps not quite as newb friendly as you'd hope. It's a flavor-altered version of War in the Palace.

I see no reason why they couldn't join just any game, as long as the expectation is that there are going to be weird mechanics involved.

Could always run a smaller setup e.g. Vengeful Mafia as Beginner's games. That should be able to support 1 or 2 beginners with the rest of the slots filled by veterans looking for quick action.

Maybe have the OP point people to the Games Threshold and List thread? That way they can signal their interest there, which might be more effective.

Having this thread as a general repository of new player information is probably still good. Though if it needs revamping you can see about passing it off to someone else. I can always unsticky this one and sticky the new one.
