Wow. That is a lot of responses to the last post. I would be grateful if somebody could tally all the votes in one post for me.
I think it's mostly a normal mechanical arm. And if they don't have a normal one, get a biological arm. I'm ignoring Stabby cause of his poor English and lack of a clear point.

Can I take this as agreeing with the 'Normal mechanical arm with some bells and whistles (stronger as an example) or just a biological arm' thing?

Glad to know I wasn't the only one thinking all the suggestions were getting a bit over the top...

Yeah, the tendrils would be bad. It's basically harder to dismember and is stronger.

So can we agree on normal mechanical arm but improved than normal (more dexterous, stronger, etc) and still normal arm shape?

We should be able to one hand a rifle with it. So we can have a rifle in one hand and a pistol in the other, or a pistol and a sword. Also, buy guns and armor for crew and self.

I just pictured us running around in suits of steel plate armor...

Anyway, before we go buying this armor look around and see what is offered. I feel the highest priority is fixing up the Tettix.

I say we get a modular cybernetic arm. That way we can get modules for it so it suits our purpose at the time.

Potential Benefits:
1: Usable as a weapon with a weapon module.
2: Usable as a computer spike, again, with the right module.
3: Usable as a pilot arm, yet again, with a module.
4: Strength, dexterity, etc. with modules!
And so much more!

Downsides:
1: It's a cybernetic limb, potential it could be hacked.

In other words, why not? We have 3 MILLION credits!

You are torn between replacing your biological arm or getting something new. After some thought you decide to head to Augmentation++ and look at the cybernetic options. The scientists inside the facility point you to their latest prototype model, the Modular Arm version .007. The MA007 is crafted from flesh colored plastic and extends from your stub to halfway between the elbow and where the hand should be. The lower arm and hand consists of several interchangeable modules. The modules packaged with the arm include one with a screen and some cables for computer access, one made to look like a regular human hand for discretion, and one capable of fireing up to 130 yards hookshot style for mobility. You are informed that the arm is compatible with several other modules for sale at Fallout Explosives and New Fauna Bioresearch Center.

After the sales pitch and demonstration you are thoroughly sold. You step outside and place a call to The Tettix informing the crew that you will be out several hours while they properly attach the new arm. You instruct Spritz to fly a patrol over the lab in the stealth craft so that you can be rescued if they intend to hand you over for a bounty. "That is unlikely to happen though." you assure the frightened rookie. "I redid my hair several times while on the lamb, and the discription of wanted fugitive Charlet Mannam includes two arms."

You head inside and pay the clerk. The sale and installation of the arm sets you back 1.5 million, and the lab tacks on a half million walk in fee for not having an appointment. They lead you to the back and instruct you to lay down on a surgical table...

...You wake up to your own arm flailing wildly in front of your face. "It is establishing connections to your nervous system." A nurse hurriedly explains. "Once it is finished you will have complete control. That said we are offering beta participants in our MA prototype beta program a free motor enhancement chip. It is just a little thing we stick into your brain that will make you more comfortable with your new arm than you were with the original. We will have to put you out for another 12 hours or so though..."

You consider the nurses offer. What do you say, and what do you do once you leave?

Nope to much at risk with you staying in one spot for so long, so just get the arm fixed the rest of the way, and get out of their for the rest of our shopping.

... Come on, we didn't even get the tree arm as a modular extension?  lame.

Anyway, we should test what we can do with the current one. Try taking a test flight doing all the controls through the computer jacks.

I vote for taking the chip. Especially since it probably allows limited wireless compute access even if we can't plug the arm in.

Also, stop ignoring my question about the slime girls.

Take the chip, and see what different modules we can get at fallout explosives and the bioreasearch center.  Might as well see what pets they have at the bioreasearch center while we're at it.  Don't forget to see if we can learn dark magic!
We are quickly becoming the best space pirate ever.  We have a robotic arm that we can attach a gun to if needed, we have a crew full of strange aliens, and we have a hacker sidekick who is smarter than us but not as cool, and we might also become a space wizard pirate.  Yup, we're cliched but awesome (except for the wizard part, that's not cliched).

Chip. If we can enhance ourselves for free, then go for it! And yes, look at the modules for sale at Fallout, as well as any weapons we can stick on the Tettix. Also, Let's go after Fios ASAP. The bounty is OK, and the Orbital Bastards hate us anyways.

Agreed, but we should try to get some mercenaries before we go after Fios.  He has a whole gang behind him and we have a few crewmembers.  Fios is the leader of the orbital bastards right?

I agree with this fully. But I feel we need some more crew first, find some crew, get some weaponry for them. Also, find a hook attachment for our arm, arrrrrr.
