No normal woman would make herself ugly and unnatural if it can be avoided

No, we should get an awesome robot-arm with different attachments.  One for piloting a ship, one with a rocket launcher, etc.  Why would we get a boring useless normal one when we could get a useful awesome one!  We're a space pirate, not a supermodel, what's the point in getting a normal one?  Beyond that, get a useful pet at bioreasearch center and see if we can learn dark magic.

Beauty is one of the things that can be enchanted, and "natural" things being somehow superior is a known (and in my view bizarre) fallacy.

I disagree about the rocket launcher thou. Any arm optimized for piloting would be able to handle a weapon of that type as well as a specialized one for that. The only weapons that'd really benefit from the bandwidth such specialization brings would be some kind of point defence system with complex aim, or mele weapons.

Not to mention rocket launchers would be kinda useless on a spaceship.

The rocket launcher thing was a joke.  We could get an arm that could be all around, but having different attachments would be pretty useful.  One for strength, another for dexterity, etc.  Although it wouldn't be absolutely necessary, I think it would be useful.  Let's also not spend all our credits on an arm though.  We should hopefully have at least 1 million left over.

Yeah, a cybernetic arm sounds good.

I like Armok's 'tree' arm idea - reminds me of the aliens in 'The Immortality Option', whose cybernetic limbs split into multiple jointed limbs halfway, then each limb split again halfway, etc - they would collapse the limbs into thicker ends when they needed strength, and branch them out when they needed fine manipulation on whatever scale.

Anyways, if we get a swiss army limb, and we include a weapon, we probably want a needler. It's the classic sci-fi weapon for use onboard a ship - no chance of hull breaches.

Yea, "branching-ness" of manipulators is one of their key properties. Have a look at this progression:

tentacle - pincer - human hand - multiple hands - the thing I'm suggesting - an actually dexterous tree - a http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bush_robot

The collapsibility you describe (also sprt of demonstrated by the best starwars character) is a useful feature yea. Good idea, we should get that to.

Hmm, if we add the ability to spinn some of the higher level joints rapidly, and a few retractable blades, we have a fair amount of swiss-ness already. An in built needler isn't needed since we alredy will be having piloting reflexes and they arn't that easy to lose. Also depending on a few factors THROWING needles might be a viable option.

Hmm, unless you mean something like every brach ending in a single one-shot needle, which all can be aimed and fired separately.

Hmm... I say, let's try to get the ability to generate an electric shock through our arm-for killing, or stunning. It could come in handy.

Inspector Gadget style. We can just plug one USB-tipped finger into the autopilot system, sit back and relax. Preferably with an alchoholic drink held in the same hand. 8)

Cybernetic arm, with the suggested style 'fingers' that branch. I also agree on the needle gun.

I do not think we need a pet, at least not yet, but I do agree that we need some more crew, mostly to board other ships.
Look for more crew, head to the military research facility and suggest giving them one of your experimental stealth craft for something else, upgrades for the tettix on the top of the list.

Lastly, find a mission!

(Hah, told you guys there was probably a bug on board the ship)

Hmm, while we don't need a pet, that DOES give me an idea: we should get a remote drone or two for Athena. Probably just somehting simple but diverse. Useful for boarding, bodyguard, and simply keeping in contact.

That'd also be a better place to put the grenade launcher. :p

Hmm, is there any reason we can't have Athena pilot all the ships remotely?

The point of a human hand is... the ships are made for things with human hands. We're not making our own ships, so they are what normal people use. Huge tree hand won't help when the controls are made for regular hands. :P

hmmm we should sooner or later by a spacestation to launder any money we get and to store our extra stuff lets see a high end fighter cost around 8000 so by my mind a frieghter would cost 20000 a frigate 30000 crusier 40-50000 and a spacestation 70-80000 atleast and im talking about cheap to make low grade ships not like the ones we got
