Guys, the kobold is good at hacking and stuff. Let's see if she can tell us what's on it.
Ya thats a good idea, but be careful use it on an isolated computer so if there is a virus it doesn't wipe out our entire computer network.

I'm guessing our first order of business, is rushing back and checking on the kobold. The Sons of Zeus calling us bitch doesn't tell me she's ok.

You head to the docking bay and let Donnobaba out of the cockpit, and introduce her to the two new crew members. They seem a bit taken aback at her Starnavy uniform, but Donnobaba quickly disarms their nerves with a few jokes and a cute, harmless smile.

You hand the disc over to the White Kobold and tell her to crack it. Donnobaba nods and heads to her room to work on her assignment.

You head to the docking bay and call on Spritz over. "Okay bug. I'm going to order the ship to fly to outpost and we are going to follow it in my Class-A. I'm going to teach you a few tricks, and gauge your skill level. Understood?"

Spritz nods and gets into the cockpit with you. You launch your craft and open a comunication line to The Tettix. "Come in Athena. This is Charlet, set a course to Outpost. Be advised, the vescetoid and I will be on your tail performing some flying drills."

"Copy that Charlet. Fireing up the engines now. Just try and keep up!"

The Tettix begins to move forward and you follow it, performing a series of loops and swirls. You show Spritz how to calculate and avoid a large ship's effective firing range, and what areas generally constitute weak spots.

You hand the controls over to the kid and tell him to give it a shot. His talent is best described as raw and unrefined. With four hands and a brain designed for flight he can move the ship with grace and ease, however he makes several rookie mistakes that would get him killed in a real battle.

"Never fly in front of a large ship. It could plow right into you if you get distracted." you explain, trying your best to sound warm and nurturing. "Also most ships have their weapons mounted on the front end, so if you are going to attack larger ships as a pirate you might as well get into the habit of flying behind them."

The lesson goes on without incident until you are interupted over the com link. "Charlet. This is Donnobaba. Ya copy?"

"Yes rodent, I hear ya." you frown "This better be good. I'm busy."

"I'm almost into the disc." the white kobold announces. "But the last layer of security is a real mouse-trap. I don't doubt I can get in, but I will have to use some less than subtle methods of entry. If I crack this nut open whoever we hand it off to will know the disc has been compromised."

You snatch the controls back from Spritz. "We are almost at Outpost. I'm docking my craft and will meet you on the bridge in 5 minutes with my decision."

As you pull into dock Spritz catches you off guard by speaking up unsolicited. "That has got to be one valuable disc madam. They are paying you more to deliver it than the government is offering for the capture of Donnobaba's boss."

You laugh. "Two million credits is chump change for corporations and criminals. The only bounty hunters that do government work are the ones trying to get out of the business." you explain. "The state of Mastro dosn't pay much per head, but if you capture or kill somebody on their top three list you get to go on the video networks and receive your check and a letter of recommendation from the president in person. That letter can nail you a nice cushy job in any major corporation of government agency that you choose."

"What do bounty hunters do when they are not catching baddies for the government then?" the visectoid enquires.

"They work for the gangs. Most people who are bad enough to fall foul of the State of Mastro will also attract the attention other groups. For example the Sons of Zeus have a long standing policy to pay human bounty hunters 10 times what the government offers for the head of any non human criminal." You answer as you pop open the cockpit and begin to walk towards the bridge.

You see Donnobaba waiting for you. You open your mouth to give her your decision on hacking the disc but are cut off by Athena. "We have reached Outpost and are entering orbit. Would you like me to contact the lab and request permission to land?"

You take a deep breath and gather yourself. What do you do?

Let's crack the disk and destroy it after we got the information. Later we can come back to Hades and say that there were a risk of boarding and we destroyed the disk as he instructed

We will lose the opportunity to get 2 millions for now, but let's go hunting and make money as a real pirate, not a delivery girl. Also that information may be way more valuable, then 2 millions

Don't crack it, follow your orders. Prepare to get out of the system BEFORE the quarantine mess makes it problematic.

I like this, but I just have a feeling that would be a bad idea.

Do not crack the disc, deliver it.

Check on how the moving of the stealth generator is going.

The worst thing that can happen - we'll get a new powerful enemy. Isn't that fun?

No, it's that our best ally will turn against us and we won't get an awesome prosthetic arm, possibly with rocket launcher attached.  Don't crack the disk and do the mission as instructed.

My worry is that they have some kind of defense on it. Possibly a sort of distress signal. I am for cracking it, getting the info, then getting another.

But the thing is, we are already at the station wouldn't it look suspicious to just leave? What if we are being monitored by long range sensors, I may be a bit paranoid, and this just occurred to me, but we should check the ship for tracking devices and 'bugs'.

I stand by the 'do not crack the device, bad feeling' thing.

I say don't crack it. We'll manage to make enemies either way, I'm sure.  :D

I doubt that we are detected by any scanners that outpost have. If that bastards put  tracking devices and 'bugs' on OUR ship... then they should pay. And our ship is monitored by AI, Athena would inform us, if the mechanic dids something else except repair

Also, I think that with our alien crew, we'll have big problems with sons of Zeus anyway. I offered to get rid of aliens, but we went another way and will need another allies

Yes, we should do it. It's a disk going to a bacteria lab, which may turn it into a disease. Which may or may not be used on aliens.
