Yeah this came up in the other thread when the tourney was being put together. It eventually comes down to there not being enough people for more than two maybe three 5-person teams, and a tournament's not very exciting with 2 teams.

How exactly do character bans work? Are we allowed to use a given character once?

Me thinks its like ranked. Each side can ban 2 champions before the match starts.
Do we play with no runes or masteries to eliminate level advantages or anything?

I don't think there is any where to make sure people eliminate runes, but if that is what is decided than I am okay with that.

1v1 changes everything about the game. Should be interesting.

No limitations on runes or masteries, unless you want to individually work it out with your opponent for that specific match, and bans do work like ranked. Each side alternately bans a champion twice. You can play whatever champion you want as many times as you want, as long as it's not banned for that match.

It's live. Lower seed (lower person on the bracket) gets first ban.
