Alright here's the deal. I like video games, and I really want to like fanfiction. Allegedly, I am a good writer. So now I want to write a shortish fanfiction as a crossover between two video game series that I am familiar with, and then publish them here and let you guys tell me how awful it is. But there's a catch...

...you pick the series(es?)!

List to choose from:

Final Fantasy (I through VI, XII or Crystal Chronicles)
Mario
Legend of Zelda
Kirby?
Dragon Quest (none in specific, I have not played many but have a good general sense)
Pokemon (?)
Mega Man
Dwarf Fortress

Yeah, it's not a long list, it's just the games I'm very familiar with. I don't wanna do much watering down thanks to misinformation.

Additionally, you'll choose between:

-Original characters based on the games in the worlds of the games (and probably with the regular characters mixed in)
-Characters in the games in an original world based on the games (obviously this doesn't apply much to games like DF or some of the DQ games)

This is to help prevent gargantuan plot holes from, again, misinformation.

I'll decide by tomorrow, hopefully. Awaiting suggestions!

DF/Zelda with a dash of Kirby. Watch as Hyrule falls into darkness because a tantruming dorf killed Link after some eldritch abomination ate all their food.

Please pick from the latter two options as well. But yes it is likely DF is going to end up involved somehow due to the forum I'm on.

Oh, yeah, I'm not going to do anime stuff or anything. This is strictly video games. So if I do Pokemon characters, expect to see a fleshed out Red, Blue, Silver, etc.

My vote goes for LoZ/Megaman in an original world. Or, if an unlisted option, Metroid/Megaman. It's been shown the latter two mesh well.
