Maybe a Danger Room wouldn't be a bad idea after all.

Made one, but it's hard to operate with only two dwarfs. Even had to make a useless lever to trap my dorf inside it.

The Journal of Deathsword, Chosen of Blood

That mad vampire merchant is still in our refuse stockpile, refusing to die, or move. I’ve started to call him Edward Bob.

It seems my engraver companion is no longer miserable. She described herself as “quite content”. Good, someone needs to pull that lever.

Opal

Nothing happening, but my skills are ever-increasing.

Obsidian

I don’t think I want to rule this place any longer, when the year ends, I’ll give control to the engraver.

Oh, that’s great, we have more guests. And by that, I mean a siege. Werewolfs again. Why don’t they fight each other. Also, it seems all weres are riding camels. And no, they aren’t fighting them cyclopses, and look, another siege! Our great devourer friends are back.

The year is done at last, time to release control of the blasted place.

The year's end was uneventful, if you count a huge triple-siege as uneventful.
Only two dwarfs left standing, one content, another ecstatic.
Food and booze aren't a concern, booze should last another year, and the food for much much more (supposing no migrants get in, of course)
My dwarf is a legendary fighter and shiled user, but still a talented axedwarf, try to use the danger room to make him a legendary before trying to attack.

Downloaded save, starting now.

EDIT:
I placed the save in my saves folder, but my game refuses to load it. I hit the "continue game" option and don't see the folder. Any idea why?

I'll try to dl the save and see if it works. If it doesn't I'll re-upload

EDIT: works perfectly, no idea of what might be causing your problem.

It works for me too. The mod is for 31.25, in case you didn't know already. Also, did you unzip it?

I really hope this survives. It's insane.
On the off chance that any migrants can survive to get in, Dwarf me, preferably male, and shunt me into the military.

If I had to guess you accidentally extracted it to a folder.
So like right now it's data/save/region1/region1 instead of just data/save/region1.

Hmm...
The path is correct, and I tried several different copies of dwarf fortress. I ahve no idea what is wrong, and feel kind of bad I can't play immediately :/ Maybe you could just move me down a slot? Let devros have his turn and see if I can't get this figured out.

Try extracting it again, extracting can fail and miss things from time to time.

Remember those long summers of your childhood? That first kiss in the gardens while crossbows dwarves shoot goblins above your head? The rain of dead birds as the hunters get to work? Truly Spearhills is a paradise.

Journal of Davros, 19th of slate
Why. Why. That madwoman with the axe came after me. I hid in the stockpiles for a few months, but she caught up. She has ten kills, all of them dwarves, and when he found me, she handed the fort over to me, with a smile on her face that made it obvious that if she finds an excuse, I'll die like the others. I think I'm going to go cry in the corner for a bit.

OOC: Yeah, nothing much is happening. Both dwarves are ecstatic, and we can't go outside. Sorry about making deathsword look like a psycopath, but given that she has killed ten dwarves, the chance was just to good to pass up. Also, sorry about typos.

You switched gender several times in that long sentence.

Oh no, don't apologize, that's what I want my dwarf to be. Gender changing in the same sentence? Circus, why not?

No prob man, we'll just shuffle you onto the next round then. Which'll start with me again.

Who wants to bet we won't have the chance to get migrants anytime soon? Har har.
