[38a] The Walls of Jericho
« on: February 11, 2008, 01:32:00 pm »

It all began with my Elf Scout. Rimsi the Elf had been scouting a notorious Goblin Fortress. The Fortress must be their capital because it is packed with guards drunks and lead by the Goblin Spearmaster. With this knowledge i retired my elf and started a darvwen fortress next to the goblin's. I had raised a small group of 7 military Dwarves. They were going to battle. They Dreamed of this mission. But this was a suicide mission. Their goal was to storm the 5 Goblin Towers and Destroy the Goblin Spearmaster. The Day had come. They were Battle-crazed Dwarves bent on goblin Destruction. They grabbed their weapons and their armor. They positioned themselves on the southern border of the southern tower.

The Dwarf Leader Blew the Battle Horn and released the battlecry,
"For the Mountainhome!!!!"

Boom!!!!!!

Suddenly the shit hit the fan! All 5 Towers Collapsed into smokey destruction. Water and mist sprayed everywhere. Goblins and Frogmen littered the battleground. Blood is everywhere. 50 Goblins Died instantly.

All the Dwarves could say was, "What the Fuck was that?"

Apparently a underground river had magically sprung in the center of the tallest tower collapsing it.(Bug) The resulting impulsion collapsed the other 4 towers. What was left were Red T's, S's, and V's simply called Trees, Shrubs, and Bushes.(Bug)

After the Carnage the surviving Goblins and Dwarves all went back to the wagon and had drinks. (Not Killing Each other like I planned)(Bug)

The Dwarves returned to the local human town as heroes. Unfortunatley due to a "slight" increase in wildlife, the dwarves and other adventurers including Rimsi the Elf were all ripped to shreds by packs wolves while in town. (Bug)

And So ends the Buggy Story of the Walls of Jerhico.

M-M-M-M-M-Multibug!

So, the underground river didn't appear until you started a fortress there... My guess is that adventurer mode doesn't calculate caveins, and it was there the whole time.

Very funny bug though.

Yeah I think if you visit somewhere with adventurer mode and then build a fortress there it can cause a memory leak. The big red Vs and stuff are error symbols showing that the game is missing large chunks of data.

I'm not sure what to call that, but it's not a memory leak.  A memory leak is where a program fails to deallocate memory properly, causing it to slowly hog all your RAM uselessly.

This is what we, in the professional world of Computer Science, call Program Amnesia.

Quick! Apply the Code Patch to the Memory Leak, then uplink the network data to the GPS Flash ROM! Just be sure the plasma flux converter doesn't interweb the datatubes!

And don't forget the tape back-up!!
