Terenos, you're a pessimist. We do stand a chance, if everyone put aside our differences and ganged up on toaster he'll go down very easily.

Getting everyone to co-operate may be the hard part, but the fact remains that it's possible to beat him.

I'm thinking I'm just going to do one of the following if he insists on leaving...
-Nuke all of Terenos's stuff creating a sort of gold rush opportunity.
-Replace him.
-End the game if enough people vote for it.


Do note I have another game concept lined up if this one dies. It will be another free-research based game but it will be on a hex grid, with a fantacy based setting and additional players as deities.

Toaster is defeatable, we just have to work together. We fall if we are divided. As an incentive to this, I'm willing to provide all of my techs to those that are willing to stand up and fight!

In the event that my attempt to leave the game is unacceptable, I will continue on as I have been doing.

But it will be up to someone else to rally the system against Toaster. Adwarf sapped my will to do anything diplomatic.

If you do rerun it, you should make research a static D6 roll with no possibility of affecting it- 1 is failure, 6 is critical success, all others are regular success.  The people who didn't realize that starting out by researching research to 6 is the best way to go got behind early and stayed that way.

Well I'm not planning on cutting any warp lanes. Why bother? Its 5 turns of research I can't spare.

I have realized the research tech was a major mistake. Thus the reason for me adding that rule somewhat too recently. And I'll still stand by my system for handling research success as it eventually rewards the unlucky.

Everyone left agrees not to share tech with him. Thusly giving 4 research to his 1.
Everyone left agrees to share all their current tech (sure some people might get shafted but oh well).

I'll consider it, but I'm -strongly- against it. You're gonna need a lot to convince me otherwise.

Movement: Colonize PX-6. All force from PX-3 are to move to PX-6, All forces in PX-1 are to move to Taricu.

Other: Offer Alliance proposal to all players but Toaster with the following:

- Players are to give their entire tech library to other alliance members.
- No further diplomacy or trading is to be conducted with Toaster unless agreed on by unanimous vote.
- All members agree to permanently stop hostilites against one another.
