Also haggis.
I've had haggis before and it was pretty good (though not packed in a sheep's stomach unfortunately). Of course it was in a pretty decent restaurant, so the average grandma's specialty haggis may taste absolutely putrid for all I know.

I've never understood the whole "offal is disgusting" thing. The nicer bits are really, really nice. The bits that aren't go into mechanically recovered meat
anyway. Like Spam (which is my guilty pleasure.)

I would try it.

God DAMN I love this game!

Actually, I do find it pretty vile, and yes, I have tried it. I'd force it down if it was on my plate though.

Those people are actually secret reptile mutants masquerading as humans. Sauerkraut is awesome.

My children love sauerkraut. My daughter will eat an entire can by herself. Especially if it's got some caraway seed in it. Being of Volga German extraction, I grew up eating *lots* of sauerkraut. And sauerkraut soup, bierocks, rouladen with sauerkraut, etc.

My father is something of an indiscriminate eater- or rather, he discriminates in favour of ick-factor things; this goes from eating the gristly crap on the ends of chicken bones straight through trapping his own pigeons and eating them right up to digging up witchetty grubs and microwaving them.

Also, Chrome thinks 'Witchetty' is a word, but not 'Microwaving'.

And here is something similar in my home town, as I mentioned once in my previous post, a traditional Hakka unique flavors - 梅干菜, the smell can always bring back the memory of childhood lived in my grand parents house.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
It's molded dried (sour) mustards or cabbages, and practically a main ingredient in many Hakka recipes. It can be used in pork stew, as fillers in Baozi (chinese bun), etc.

Yep, and I've post about how it tasted like

I have repeatedly been told Pigeons are not for eating, but I've never really understood it. I don't even eat meat, but when I was homeless I was very very tempted to take up trapping pigeons. They look like they would be delicious. Then again, I don't really understand why most of the meats listed would be disgusting (with the exception of intestine, I guess, but don't people already eat sausage? And isn't that stuffed intestine? Bleh)

I don't actually like sourkraut either, but I don't really hate it.

Now, the most disgusting food I've ever had was probably... smoked cheese.

Oh god, why do people eat this? It tastes like you are eating a cigarette butt. What the hell. Why is this even a thing.

Despite being partially of German descent, I have never tried Sauerkraut. I must rectify this.

I'm trying Blue Cheese sauce for pretty much the first time right now. It's not....bad, it's just really overpowering, even on crackers.

What's that taste like, blue cheese? Not much recipes using cheese here. And be honest that I felt cheese kind of taste weird.

Its very.....blue....cheesy.....

I can't really link it to any other taste. It honestly tastes independent of everything else. It's a little like ranch, but...not.
