Yes. An Assassin's Guild. They are vital to diplomacy and you're going to need some hanging around. I imagine you'd want them loyal..So..Yeah. I could even juggle it into my other responsibilities if necessary.
As far as Chicane's designs? Probably going to mostly fall apart. We'll see the effects of them either falling apart, or moving to their conclusion. But without the central piece of the conspiracy theres little chance it will seriously impact us.))

I'll probably introduce a Spy specialist after the war is concluded to do this sort of thing, although players will still be able to do it in 'RPG mode', because there's no way I'd take away something that fun.

The prestoner army is neutral at this time. The only people I'm leading are my own crew and a couple engineers. I'm still in a good position to attack them though.

As is, we've looted the city, but the Fortress defenders outnumber us and if those Neutral Prestoners decide to to stick with King Philip, we'll be surrounded. Quick question for GM/King. Do we know how far out the Army from the South is? Would there be time to upgrade units with the looted money before they arrive?))

If they march on north after reaching Miring, they'll arrive at the end of the season (i.e. in time to conduct a battle before Winter sets in).  So yes, you'll have plenty of time to upgrade units with your loot.

Also, technically Aulon could care about war if it meant him keeping his looted money/land.
