That noon...

The King frowned, and rose to his feet for the second time that. Without so much as looking at his General, he took in a long, deep breath and then spoke in a forlorn tone: "As Erika is...no longer available...you will stand in her place as the accuser here, Lord Trubaldsome. Kaguro..." he paused once more, his expression blank, and then continued on, "Please stand before me. You have been...charged with a crime."

Trubaldsome nodded once, slowly, and then rose gracefully to his feet, the heavy cloth of his long coat falling into place about him.
"Yes," He began pacing back and forth between the King and Kaguro, his gaze fixed on the general. "Indeed, as Lady Erika is, understandably, upset, I shall speak for her. After all, it is I who discovered this... General's treachery, I who she finally confided in, fearing for her life, telling me how he..." He grimaced, and spat the word, "Molested her." He paused his walking, took a quick sip of wine, then shouted over his shoulder, "Waery!!"
He scanned the Court for a short moment, and then a grimacing Waery burst out of a crowd of well-dressed folk, looking like a wolf among sheep as he made his way hastily to his Lord's side, knocking a drinks table crashing to the ground in the process.
"Yes, m'lord!" "Damnit, Waery! Do not do that! You knew I would need you!" Trubaldsome hissed at the man, eyes narrowed in annoyance. Waery judged this not... Exactly the best time to bring up what he had found.
The young lord looked about those gathered, nursing his goblet in his free, unbandaged hand, saying more loudly, "Waery, bring in the... Assassin."
Waery clapped his hands twice, and called, "Wyrthlast!" his voice carrying clearly even through the noisy court, and a door opened and in came two of Trubaldsome's men, carrying a cloth-swathed bundle between them, setting it before the King.
Trubaldsome looked about, apologetically, and spoke softly, "Now, I would suggest to any ladies present, or any others with perhaps a... Weak stomach, avert your eyes, for we see the sorry fate of the man sent to kill the poor Lady Erika, guarded as she was in my chambers... In this very castle. Plainly the good General did not want this terrible truth becoming known."
After giving a moment for any who wish to do so to look away, Trubaldsome nodded once, a large, floppy turquise feather in his hat brim bobbing with the motion, and Waery stepped fowards, bowed stiffly to the King, and pulled back the cloth.
A few gasps were heard as the horrid sight were revealed.
Some time had past since the man's death, despite best efforts to preserve the body, and a violent death it was. His face, along with most of his neck and the collar of his tunic, was horribly burnt and misshapen, rendering it barely recognisable as part of a human being. There on the front of his shirt, plainly visible despite the dried bloodstains, was the emblem of General Kaguro's personal guard.

Trubaldsome shook his head sadly, dipping his head in distaste, and spread his hands at his sides.
"My King, I do not know what more I can say."
He looked up once more, to the King, and spoke more loudly. "'Twas only through sheer luck, in that I happened to have my sword out to clean it, that I, and your dear Cousin, survived this man's attempt on her life. A dastardly act indeed, and I for one have not removed my blade since, unsafe as even the castle has apparently become in your absence."

Trubaldsome speaks convincingly to the King of Kaguro's misdeeds and treachery, and has the burnt and unrecognizable body of the "assassin" brought before the King as evidence.

Meanwhile..

A hooded figure is riding towards the castle of Elbreth, with no weapons, he seems as if he is taking his time, and so when he comes to the gate, he quickly dismounts, and asks to see the king of the castle, Erik. He is told to wait, but he can wait a little bit longer.

Do you mean in the sense of mercenary regiments, or a ragtag band of heavily armed misfits to cause trouble with the world?  Because yes to either, but the latter you might be better trying to equip some players instead of hiring an NPC party (=P).

"Damnit I didn't want to do this." said Hiatsu as he drops his sword, and instead puts his hand over the seal, and begins chanting "Gateway to the world of evil, I the key to your opening command thy to shut, adn drawback this power which has been released. I Hiatsu Shizume except th toll, and forcefully seal the Gate of Hell." with the last word echoing through the hall there is a sudden rush of air, and Gilgamesh's power is ripped from his body causing Gilgamesh to pass out, and turn into an ordinary black cat. Hiatsu falls to the floor, and blood spews from his mouth covering the floor as the strain of the spell takes effect. Hiatsu looks up at the king, adn says "Do not listen to him he wishes only for death, and destruction for we have sealed him in this realm." Pushing himself back, and plopping on the floor behind the blood he continues "Well that shortened my life span about a year. Sword conceal yourself once again from the sight of all." the sword on the floor vanishes, and Hiatsu sits there breathing heavily, sweat pouring off of him, and wipes the blood from his face.

[1]  Your attempt to banish the demon does not go as planned.  You tear the demonic spirit out of the created body as intended (which reverts to the base form of a cat) but are unable to bind the demon effectively enough to banish it.  It passes into the nearest available receptacle.  [6]  Which would have been you, but you are able to draw up a spell of protection around yourself swiftly enough to deflect it... into one of the king's guardsmen.  The royal guard screams like a banshee and draws his sword, [4] stabbing one of his fellows in the gut [6] and then leaping through the nearest exit - which in this case is a window.  [4] The guard falls three storeys and hits the ground with a heavy crunch.  To the horror of onlookers, he then gets back up and [6] slaughters six people with the sword before fleeing into the streets of Sheepstead.  His hideous laughter and screams are heard across the town;

"Free!  Free at last!  Aaahahahahahahahahaaa!"

Congratulations.  You have now released the demon Gilgamesh into the world.

(But look at it this way - I didn't accept your consequence for the action, so you don't lose the rather pitiful year of your life that you were trying to weasel out with.)

Roll for persuasiveness, +1 for grisly evidence.  Up to the King as to how he actually perceives it, of course.

((Ugh I don't have anything to do till Kaguro is back from the court, fiddles with the ballista he apparently invented))

Try to repair door to Kaguro's office.

[4]  Fortunately you still have some wood left and are able to make some fairly solid (if unglamourous) patchwork repairs to the door.  Whilst you are working you hear some shouting and commotion in the street - you peer out the window to find a headless body pinned against a wall with a spear.  The spear is driven about halfway into the rough timber walls of the house (and all the way into the body).  [5]  You overhear snatches of conversation amidst the gawking onlookers - several of them are putting it down to witchcraft.  Given your previous misadventures, this might not play out to your advantage.  You'd better figure out a way to avoid catching the blame.

Quote from: Sir Taric
Wander around town seeking out how to help with the present troubles.

You walk about town, trying to catch up on the source of the local dissent.  [4]  Noble feuding seems to be the primary cause, though there were some whispers of witchcraft and the like starting more fires.  You recall the king's alchemist however and put it down to more misadventures.  You are busy trying to reassure some of the burghers when a blood-curdling scream comes from the palace.  [2]  You are, of course, already running full pelt toward the palace when you see the body fall out of the window near the royal chamber.  You are still several streets away though and hear shouts and screams as you approach.  By the time you reach the palace courtyard there are several bodies strewn across the forecourt.  [5]  The surviving witnesses are mostly too scared to speak, but they tell you that it was a palace guard - except that the guard dropped out of the window, must have broken every bone in his body, and then got back up and started murdering people before fleeing into the streets.  They are able to point you in a direction, but that is all they know.

Gilgamesh is loose in Sheepstead.  He will continue to cause chaos until he is caught or leaves the town.

"Well I always thought it would end this way." said Hiatsu as he recalled his blade, and destroyed the seal on his arm he turned to the king,a dn said "This is not my fault, but yours I told you not to listen to the demon, yet you asked what he wanted, adn when I tried to weaken him he got free, because I had to hold his form for, so long, but now I will be going good luck." he said turning, and runnin out the door.

Flee the town by the time I escape Gil. will have vanished.

((I wasn't banishing him just withdrawing his power to the point he passed out which shouldn't have took a roll))

((Changing action even if he cahnged bodys the seal on my arm is what keeps him tied if I destroy it he disappears. That wasn't my fault it was Ituem's he misunderstood my post draining Gil. to the point of passing out in his cat form wouldn't have caused what just happened since it just involves me concentrating on reducing his power with no side effects.))

((So, I need to roll... Do I use a certain online dice roller, or just roll a physical D6? Also... When is this demon rampage happening in relation to Trubaldsome's meeting with the king? A day later or something, right? If so, I don't need to react to it. :P
EDIT: Oh, and lol @ Adwarf. :D Seriously, you really do make up all your containment spells on the fly :P))

"Well I always thought it would end this way." said Hiatsu as he turns to Gilgamesh, and begins attacking him with all his might.

Seal Gilgamesh inside my body.

[3-1]  You try to attack Gilgamesh, but with the advantage of surprise he escapes as above.  You cannot seal him now that he has taken possession of a body.

((I wasn't banishing him just withdrawing his power to the point he passed out which shouldn't have took a roll))

I try to be as fair as I possibly can, but in case it wasn't clear?  You aren't the one who decides what does and doesn't take a roll.  I am, and my criteria for deciding are "does it have a significant chance of going wrong, or of the effect varying?" and "will it be more fun for the players overall to put this to chance?".  You don't need a roll for every little thing, but for something as significant as trying to banish a demon you most certainly do.

Head after this guard. He must be brought to JUSTICE!

[6]  You head into the maze of streets that poor city planning has provided for Sheepstead, following a mixture of tracks in the dirt and spilt blood.  You keep on the trail for two minutes before you find the guard.  You're reasonably sure he's the one because he's standing over the headless corpse of a guardsman, holding the head in one hand and a longsword in the other.  From the cracked open skull and the grey matter all over his mouth, it looks like he was hungry.  [6]  You notice a spear by your feet, probably dropped by the guard.  Before the creature can react, you grab the spear and hurl it at the demon.  The spear stabs straight through the demon's chest.  The demonic guardsman screams, drops the head and pulls the spear out of his chest.  Now he has a spear and a sword, though you reckon that must have hurt it from the scream.  Good thing you came with your own weapon, right?
