Burst out laughing, no not just laughing, hunched over hands on knees gafawing. Before standing up straight and wiped a tear from his eye. "That was good Lord Trubaldsome, I haven't had a laugh like that in some time." Waits a few moments before 'realiseing' he was serious. "Oh, you where serious?" Breaks out into chuckles again. "You see a fire in a dungeon, in which an alchemest who has a history of setting fires is held in by the way, and jump to the conclusion that it was rebel sabotuers AND that I aided them immediately? That is a rather large leap Lord Trubaldsome, do you have any evidence?" He states in calm authorative tones. "Tell me, please, just what have I done specificly to make you think that I helped set fire to the dungeons? To my knowledge all I've done is stomp out some bandits, make a town and market on my land, and stop you from tossing people in the dungeon for looking at you without a look of awe"

Mahtan awakens, finding a good chunk of his cellar wall blown away.  Ears ringing he gets to his feet, and trudges through the wreckage and the crushed and charred remains of the prisoners in the neighboring cell.
Not sure how I'll talk my way out of this one..

Mahtan hears thunderous footsteps coming from above.

Mahtan, rushes to his stores and recreates a small charge.

((What I'm trying to accomplish is not only having a very dangerous weapon to intimidate with, but also so I can preview my product to the higher ups, IE Trubaldsome and Kaguro, to save my ass.))

Knavston paced along the edges of the Royal Encampment, a pair of Order Guards followed a small distance back. The days were getting shorter and the nights colder, yet still they waited. Not too far away, soldiers were putting the finishing touches on the large fire-trench that would protect them from the flames.

Black had wanted an immediate assault on the Rebel town after their unsuccessful parle, but the King had different plans. Wanting to protect his own men was an admirable trait for a leader, but a leader must also be willing to act decisively and send men to their deaths. But perhaps he was acting to impatient. He would be the first to admit that he had a fire in his belly.  He Clutched at his flame pendent as he offered a prayer to God. he exhaled slowly as he raised his head to watch the night sky, his cold breathe visible and whispy in the frosty mountain air.

Pulling his cloak around his body a little tighter for warmth he turned back to camp and his tent. A lot could happen in a week's time, but until then, he would wait and try and keep his men ready.

With the insistence that Drua stay, she decides to make the best of it. Contacts in higher-up positions would be useful after all, and a friend with land was a friend in your band. Drua enjoys the relative luxury of her lodging, ravenously eating the food put out before her and drinking far too much wine. After all, if one doesn't enjoy luxury when it's presented, when does one enjoy luxury? As the second week of her stay approaches, a 'devious' plan manifests in her mind, the product of free time and experimenting. In her chest is a powerful aphrodisiac, and a plan is made to slip it into the nobles drink come next week. A hasty plan is drawn up with a few trusted soldiers: the soldiers will drink a few glasses of wine and blunder into the kitchen, demanding food and generally being an attention-grabbing nuisance. While attention is diverted, Drua will slip into the kitchen and drop the small clove of powerful herb in the nobles drink...

Action: Enact the plan.

Trubaldsome glared daggers at Kaguro as he spoke, barely letting him getting the words out before shouting, "Waery!" He waves a hand, beckoning the man fowards.
"Find the sabotuer responsible for this! We shall give this 'proof' general Kaguro speaks of!"
Leaning foward as Waery reaches his side, he adds in a lower voice for no others to hear, "Find the alchemist and hide him away somewhere. We'll get him to confess in public of conspiring with the general... Of course, if he resists, just slip a knife in his guts, keep him silent." With that quick whispered command out of the way, Trubalsome turned back to Kaguro as Waery hurried away with a few soldiers.
Viewing the general with contempt, he waves an elegantly-attired arm dismissively. "Very well, Kaguro, you ask for proof, we shall prove your guilt. We shall see how His Majesty deals with his traitorous general upon his return." Then he turned and strode away with as much haughty poise as he could muster whilst frantically wiping soot from his green velvet jacket.

Smile "I hope you don't mind if I send my own men to aid in the search for the 'sabotuer' Lord Trubaldsome." Send my own men to look for the alchemist, and other survivors.

Almost out of earshot when Kaguro speaks, Trubalsome half-turns, his well-trimmed eyebrows wrinkling in a frown, and grabs one of his men not yet sent into the dungeon and hisses to him: "Dammnit, slow them up, would you! Make sure they don't find him first. I don't care how, make it look like you're helping, but just make sure we get the bastard!" With a shove, Trubaldsome sends the worried-looking soldier on his way towards the dungeon, then scrabbles around in a pocket for his snuffbox, gritting his teeth anxiously.
Send the rest of my unit to search for the alchemist, but with secret orders to focus on harrying Kaguro's men, while Waery and the others grab the alchemist.

Due to the in-fighting amongst the Castle's defenders, Mahtan has more than enough time to try and prepare another charge. (6) And while he gets it working again, there's yet another fiery explosion in the stockades whilst the General and Lord are arguing.

(1) Trubaldsome's forces attempt to trip up Kaguro's and slow them down, but after the second time one of Trubaldsome's soldiers suggest they check the kitchen Kaguro's men decide to give them the slip. Not only is the majority of Trubaldsome's regiment now unavailable should things come to a confrontation (They themselves are trying to figure out where Kaguro's regiment went), but Kaguro's men are unimpeded.

Kaguro's Regiment (1) and Trubaldsome's Men (4) race to find Mahtan. However, Waery and the soldiers accompanying him burst through the doors to Mahtan's cell first, finding him surrounded by the flames of his most recent experiment.


(4) Drua's soldiers do an amazing job of acting their part, and soon the kitchen staff is thoroughly distracted. (3) Drua barely avoids being caught as she sneaks in and slips an aphrodisiac into the Lord's wine. All in all, the plan goes off without a hitch.
